I think that your challenge here is misplaced. The very fact that we are all here in the this part of the forum is proof that we are seeking. People worship God in many ways, so I personally don't believe you have to get on your face to communicate a desire or request wisdom from God. You can ask for this standing on your feet with your hands raised to the sky, or sit in a meditative position. As long as your heart is sincere and pure in what you ask for from the Creator. I believe He sees your heart and your desire for a closer walk, and will draw you near. Sin is a whole other subject I believe. The very fact that we grow old and die is proof of the sin nature in mankind. Not to mention the desires of the flesh are always working against us to do what we would not, is continually working in us and separating us from God. Asking for forgiveness, well now... That is really an issue that an individual and the Creator should work out between each other.
