Freedom Fest 2009 - Las Vegas - Bigger Than Ever....Where is the MSM?

I started out just wanting to re-post the following video from Russia Today on youtube, which features Ron Paul endorsed Congressional candidate Adam Kokesh, and senatorial hopeful from Connecticut, Peter Schiff. Then I started thinking...I have been disconnected from the Main Stream Media for a while. Occasionally, just checking in to hear the spin, or post a video that I feel is worthy of liberty-lovers' time and energy. So, I decided to search the Internet and a few prominent news sites for news from "Freedom Fest 2009"...The result, nada, nothing, zilch. I found an article about the UFC 100 which occurred in Vegas this weekend, but no prominent stories from Sin City about the virtues of freedom. Surprised? I am not.

Conclusion, in this era we must be the media. And we must be more vigilant than ever in promoting the ideals of liberty. Russia today is the most prolific generator of videos on youtube. And while most of what RT produces I view with uncertainty (they too have an agenda), they occasionally break out with a story that benefits our cause. Maybe its the adage, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". Either way, enjoy this piece.

Campaign for Liberty Wins in Las Vegas

Thanks to all those who helped make C4L's Regional Conference at Las Vegas such a success!

Before our official kick-off with Friday night's Freedom Celebration, we held a private sponsor's reception, where attendees could meet and spend personal time with Congressman Paul, Mrs. Carol Paul, and Tom Woods.

The Freedom Celebration was truly a tremendous experience (video coming soon). Over 1200 people packed FreedomFest's "Event Center" at Bally's Las Vegas to hear a lineup including FreedomFest producer Dr. Mark Skousen, Tom Woods, and Dr. Paul.

Campaign for Liberty and FreedomFest teemed up this past week to organize a conference that certainly was a memorable experience for those involved. The event kicked off on Wednesday night with a cocktail reception in the exhibit hall. Quite a few of the FreedomFest attendees were not familiar with C4L before but were quite receptive to the message of sound monetary policy and H.R. 1207/S. 604.
