near a Navy base. The mobile phones are not working there, 3000 inhabitants evacuated, there are some fires there...( find the link in English)

Apparently it was an arms depot near Moscow (I was invited to go to Moscow in 1991 by Alexander Eshanov of the Hermitage Theater Company - but that's another story).

It seems that 35 people went up in smoke... er sorry were not accounted for.
