on the contrary i'm sure there are many white people voting mccaine simply because he's white as well, and you could probably do the same thing to many of them that he did to some of the black people in harlem, i say some of them because they do not state how many where well enough informed to know that he was swiching polocies of the two canidates, they probably left those people out of there video.

Americans (most westerners) as a whole people has been dumbed down and raized in a growing state of ignorance and disrespect - this does NOT only counts for blacks in Harlem. Ignorance is the best soil for fascism.

Sad but true... even the schools are removing many basic science classes... chemistry is to dangerous little johnny might sue for getting a burn on the bunsen burner...

And IPODS... subliminal messages direct to the brain to guarantee you tune out the world... Oh yeah? ever see an Ipod user 'walking' down the street?

Forums, chatrooms cyber dating and Youtube... guaranteed that people lock themselves in their rooms and the only communication they have with the real world is what people tell them in here...

And of course EVERYONE is sharing the truth

Don't worry though they will never take your internet away.... remember it was CREATED by DARPA the top military research org. As long as THEY have you in HERE, they can do what they want out there... and all you will know is what someone here tells you is going on out there

Make sense? Good

Now go outside and see what the real world is like...

It really doesn't surprise me. Unless people become aware of the mind control and media control and the psychological programming of dumbing down people, and they stop participating in this game and start to see what's behind the scenes, i think this will keep happening.
I am not taking away people's responsibility to think for themselves; however, the programming is so deep and unconcious that it makes us fight about race, religion, power, money, etc, etc. It's there to blind us and keep us from focusing on expanding and evolving, but we are coming anyway.
I know allot of people, educated people who would have answered the same sadly. I also know some that would have noticed the trick....I hope I would be one fo them..LOL

I love the Howard Stern show. Irreverent as ever, I love it when they point out other people's ignorance by being stupid! Its funny AND educational, haha

Sal Governale (the guy doing the interview) takes every opportunity to be racist, it's still funny though. He easily could've gone to a Red state and done the same thing with white people but the other way around.

These people are our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers...our flesh and blood.
Yes, they are sadly ill informed, or brainwashed perhaps.

It shows me what a long road our race has to travel...it also shows me one reason why everything exists...life is for learning. Some of us want to learn while others are content in their ignorance...so be it.

Someone here wrote something to this effect...
Those who want to learn, pull up a chair...those who want to play are excused.

I really do believe Education is a big factor in on peoples knowledge but the truth of the matter is who are they to understand the work - including me.

Education to some is like solving Egyptian without the Rosetta and that is understandable, so many poor kids trying to get anything out of the exciting yet desolate way of life in alot of slums.

Racism is honestly a joke and i can remember meeting 2 gang members who were actually really nice guys but where as they exactly told me "TRAPPED" in the fold.

I saddens me to see the children go without food or clean water in my own country... it was not how i was raised.

I_Am,

I read your post last night before going to bed and I have not been able to get it out of my mind. I personally am offended and somewhat angered by what you have said not only for me but my fellow countrymen.

Not to mention I find it ironic that an individual from Sweden is condemning “most” of an entire nation. Also you speak of how “dumbed down” we have become and you misspell the word “raised” not to mention use poor grammar.

You speak of ignorance breeding fascism. I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains in the eastern part of the US and we have always been branded is an ignorant people. The wisdom of the people in this area is profound but we are “ignorant” because we do not conform to what the “normal” definition of society deems progressive.

Most of all the point that truly disturbs me is you are a “Project Avalon Researcher”? I am becoming more and more troubled by what I am seeing here on this forum. If someone as you that holds a very important position on this forum and are responsible for bring forth important research material and this is what you come up with then I am greatly troubled.

There seems to be this overall general opinion on the forum that we are somehow better, enlightened, and more intelligent and wise than the rest of the population of the world. Well you know what . . . . ignorance breeds fascism.

I am an American and I agree with I Am. American's as a whole are especially blinded by our own arrogance.

Angry? Sorry - doesn't mean it isn't true.

hi all......... calm down everyone!

this shows to me that the problem is that people aren't even concentrating
on the news or the politics or the details of _anything_ much. this is probably cause their time is so totally crammed with noise from all the distractions out there.
however, these distractions do not control anyone, rather, they allow people to control themselves, which is far more efficient.
no one is 'doing it to you' there is no control without consent in this respect.
once a person takes full responsibility that person wouldn't have such glaring gaps in the information on which they base decisions.

there's obviously a nasty gratuitous racial inference in that segment too, which is unpleasant.

also reminds me a little of the UK comedian Chris Morris, on The Day Today [Tonight], who used to interview people in the street and ask them ridiculous questions.
so people are just as daft here as they are over there!
especially with a mic in front of them.

peace!

Blufire - It was not my meaning to insult you nor your american pride.
As for my poor grammar - I am a swede. Swedish is my native language. If that makes me ignorant, falling on my own trap - one point for you then. It saddens me very much if you believes that by mispelling a few words, you might disrepect my opinion.

Although I am a Swede, I do live in a pretty americanized country, and in the Western Hemisphere. We are thus both westerners - and as you might also have read in my post - I did include westerners as a whole (or was that lost in my poor english? must make myself much clearer then).

If I should pick one typical bad habit of US today is the aggressiveness - the drift to immediately attack at full speed ahead when feeling distressed or insulted or whatever - like you did to me...dissing me on the behalf that I have enrolled as a researcher. All cannons ahoy! On the other part of that line we all know what lies, don't we?

If one reads anything from ordinary news magazines to independet internet sources it really is striking how poor the education level in US (AND in almost all western countries) has become.

The point I was aiming at with the TED Talks Link - did you see it, or was it too provocative? - was that the US news covarege...coregvage...coverage...really, really is twarted. The death of Anna Nicole or the skin of Britney or American Idol gets by far more news percentage that any foreign story - 10.000 dead children in Africa is not worth writing about.

And in this respect - a people that really don't have access to information and is by the common news sources just is fed glamour and idiot superficial info - are very clearly being dumbed down. Sweden as well as US.

Sweden on the other hand has no nuclear weapons (US has over 50% of all military forces in the whole world (conventional and nukes)). Sweden has no lust for forcing unwilling countries into their version of "democracy and freedom". So the turnout of dumb swedes is really not that troublesome as of your country.

A dumbed down people will not ask questions like: "Why does tens of thousands of Iraqi children have to be hurt and killed to revenge the bombing of two buildings and a few thousands business men/women, when there where no links between the hijackers and Iraq?". A dumbed down people will go gung ho to anywere to protect their "interests", disrespecting all other cultures on the way. And don't humbly respond to a little bit of critique.

Bluefire: If you really would like to counter my statement, you should do it with counterargument that is around the topic. Not trying to diss me as a person. Make points not war. Show us that most americans really aren't that sedated!

Respectful and humbly, albeit mispelled, regards from Sweden

<<<Really Big Sigh>>>

First I must apologize to you I_Am. I had to ask myself why I focused my reply solely on you. Upon reflection it is largely because you have a “title” deeming yourself as an authority figure . . . I had no idea this is a title you gave yourself or how you enrolled yourself. I assumed (which is never a good thing to do) that the hierarchy of PA deemed you worthy of that title and that you were somewhat of an authority or expert on researching topics and info for Project Avalon. Oddly enough the fact you are from Sweden somehow was interpreted in my “dumbed down” little mind as “really smart”. A very disconcerting revelation on my part and that will be cause for personal reflection. Also the statement “most Americans” greatly bothered me because it is a statement that cannot be qualified and the thought that someone as a “researcher” making that type of statement really threw me. But I understand now it was solely a personal opinion and not one from valuable unbiased research. Perhaps it was a subliminal push because of the “kick me” sign on your avatar pic.

Yes I did look at your website as well as the original from mntruthseeker and the site 100th monkey put forth. The overall synopsis that your site put forth is true . . . Brittany, Anna Nicole and entertainment fluff are the bulk of our news. As the sites from truthseeker and 100th monkey (sorry guys that I’m speaking as if you are not here) these on the street interviews are so contrived and completely unfair. I believe that these people actually said what they did and it is so horribly embarrassing and sad. But I have to believe there were many people they passed over that were very succinct and intelligent. Anyone can spin information to make their point.

The only thing I will say at this point about the United States and being an American is that we are "damned if we do and damned if we don't" . . . . so damn it . . . . leave us as individuals alone. I bet that statement will be "damned" by the mods.

The point that concerns me most is I have a great apprehension that we (the members on Avalon) have an extraordinary responsibility. Thousands of people from all walks of life and nations are coming to this site for desperate help. They are brought here I believe by unfathomable “universal energy” (as I was) They and we want to be a part of something that can make a true difference and build a new world based on true abundance and grace . . . one community at a time. Threads such as this and many others that are popping up on PA are very divisive and hurtful. We have to remember that all of us are in all stages of “waking up” and that this process is extremely difficult and that we are all vastly different.

I have no “special” talents or great wisdom or able to receive messages from aliens, spirits or even Elvis. I am a farmer and business woman who has been knocked askew by the wonders of our existence. But I do know that persistence and unconditional love pays off in the long run.

So I suppose I_Am my “counter argument” to the topic is I wish not to choose one, because I am not sure what the relevance would be. Yep, we are being “dumbed down” , manipulated, lied to, scared out of our pants and exhausted by rhetoric but you know what . . . . . . . . WE ARE STILL WAKING UP!!!!

P.S. Sweden is in the Eastern Hemisphere, my dear I_Am . . . but we are both in the Northern Hemisphere.

Are you jealous, Blufire? Well - it is an option for anyone to just send the PA mods a message stating that you think you also wishes to contribute, as I did - I told them that being an architect/IT-consultant I would lend PA my time and resources if they needed them. You could do the same, dear.

Oh, we are just as dumb as you are. Unfortunately. I'd say it is much about perspective. Like: How many Westerness know the name of the leaders of India and China - after all they are over 2 bilion people together...you can be pretty sure they know about Bush, McCain, Palin, Obama, Biden

Quote:
"...I believe that these people actually said what they did and it is so horribly embarrassing and sad...
Great! Thus we both agree!

Quote:

I wasn't pointing out individuals, but westerners and US citizens as a group.
If US really would be let alone - they should stop pretending to become the world police. At least not without a higher level of understanding. I am afraid that many Americans are soon to experience this on a much more practical scale, in their own back yard. Although the police will all have Blackwater badges on them...

And Damned: You are only damned if you believe that as a revenge you have the right to kill ten Iraqi children for any ruined fax machine due to Saudi Hijackers. On the other hand you would be blessed if you instead had used all those billions and billions of dollar wasted on war into developing better engine technology - Now THAT effort would be a beacon of light to all other nations!

Blufire - you are absolutely right on this - let us calm down and stop wasting energy on negativisms. And I really, really appreciate your humble approach towards the waking up process - you are very true. Let us help each other and accept that in PA there are all these different souls spanning over a vast, vast palette of ideas and paradigms - opening up, listening, focusing on positive discussion will be a source of great synergy.

And here is BTW another very, very interesting film about the relationship between US gov, War Spinners and News Media:
