Well this is interesting. Seems the plague is... plaguing al Qaeda training camps , I guess living crammed like sardines into unsanitary conditions and lacking modern medical technology isn't as glamourous as the terrorist recruitment brochures make it sound...


I did think it was peculiar the way the security source was quoted as saying the disease is the "deadliest weapon yet in the war against terror." Weapon? Hmm...

The new epidemic began in the cave hideouts of AQLIM in Tizi Ouzou province, 150km east of the capital Algiers, the Sun reports.

The group, led by wanted terror figure Abdelmalek Droudkal, was forced to turn its shelters in the Yakouren forest into mass graves and flee.

The group now fears the highly-infectious disease could have spread to other al-Qaeda training camps or Taliban fighters in Afghanistan, the paper said. A source said: "The emirs (leaders) fear surviving terrorists will surrender to escape a horrible death."

Serves them right for playing "Ring a Ring of Roses, a pocket full of posies".

Actually, if this reporting is true, then we could expect to see quite a difficult time in Afghanistan and Pakistan, especially in the big cities. The international authorities would have to close down the borders.

To be called a weapon seems a little suspect also.

I saw it before it was taken down dagon, thanks to Orion11 and it said it was similar to the black plague, as in it spread quickly and killed within hours!, nevermind!, I see he posted it above! doh!
