Default SHIVA the destroyer statue at CERN

http://cerncourier.com/cws/article/c.../cernpeo9_7-04

From the official CERN news letter - see it for yourself.

So, what are they planning on doing at CERN again?

When the LHC rips a fabric in our universe, Shiva will come to life and destroy us all.

CERN with a SHIVA statue. I am not denigrating any religion here, but having a statue of the God figure of destruction at a lab where many fear space and time could be ripped with fatal consequences is just pushing the 'symbology' a bit far IMHO.

Egg , what i was saying is that Shiva has a dual nature, thats all. There is always two sides to a coin ,and klinging only to one side ,causes us to suffer. Thats all i was saying Mr. egg. My work is done here, i go quietly with my SChiva.

I love what Shiva represents. I have a bronze Shiva and I bought at a particular time in my learning. It was a milestone for me. One that showed me some progress in my spiritual development.

My Shiva sits on a tiger. The tiger represents the lower nature of man and woman, the animal nature in other words. It is the coming together of the male and female parts of a person in the fourth centre, seal or chakra. When this happens the person is balanced in their male and female aspects and is coming from the heart, the fourth centre. Not sure of all the symbolism but I do know that the beads around the neck represent pearls of wisdom. 777 , you may be able to fill us in on other aspects of the Shiva symbolism. Love Shiva, love what it represents and its nothing to do with religion for me.

Love and LIght

Masculinity and femininity,Left and Right brain, together forms the whole being and an ideal person is the one who has integrated in equal measure both. Usually one (ego) conflicts with the other and that is the cause of our misery! Like Carmen said , she is the cosmic dancer.
Though you see one image, she represents both energies. The one does not xsist without the other.

The clue is always in the sounds of the vowels. It is the vowels through which the God dess manifest.Shiva = Sheva or S- he- va both male and fe -male energies in a cosmic dance.

I'll second that, and admit my ignorance about SHIVA. I am now corrected.

Wonder why then the USA called their electrical weapon system SHIVA STAR?

Now this is a question that requires its own post. I will say this, the Shiva star is the dog star Sirius. You wouldn't believe the secret of this star. The clue is the Key in St peter's hand at the Vatican. I am working on a post now about this ,that i will place in the Chi thread.

The Cern project is just pulling Chi, thats free to all.

777 This little thread shows that together were are stronger than as single individuals.

A special plaque next to the Shiva statue at CERN explains the significance of the metaphor of Shiva's cosmic dance with several quotations from The Tao of Physics. Here is the text of the plaque:

Ananda K. Coomaraswamy, seeing beyond the unsurpassed rhythm, beauty, power and grace of the Nataraja, once wrote of it "It is the clearest image of the activity of God which any art or religion can boast of."

More recently, Fritjof Capra explained that "Modern physics has shown that the rhythm of creation and destruction is not only manifest in the turn of the seasons and in the birth and death of all living creatures, but is also the very essence of inorganic matter," and that "For the modern physicists, then, Shiva's dance is the dance of subatomic matter."

It is indeed as Capra concluded: "Hundreds of years ago, Indian artists created visual images of dancing Shivas in a beautiful series of bronzes. In our time, physicists have used the most advanced technology to portray the patterns of the cosmic dance. The metaphor of the cosmic dance thus unifies ancient mythology, religious art and modern physics."

Shiva is one of the oldest gods of India. Images of him have been found dated to 2500 B.C. Shiva is the god who destroyed creation after every Kalpa, and at the same time he became the great ascetic who preserved the world with his meditation. He was related to aspects of fertility, and his symbol is the lingam, the male reproductive organ and the source of his power.

He is usually represented in one of three forms: As Nataraj in a dancing pose, as a lingam (phallus) or as an anthropomorphic form. This sculture shows him as Shiva-Dakshina-Murti or Mahayogi, one of the best known depictions of Shiva. He is seated on the tops of the Himalayas in deep meditation. His abode is the sacred mountain Kailash. He is wearing a simple loincloth, sometimes with the hide of an antelope around him, and seated on a tiger skin. He wears a moon sickle in his hair and a snake coil around his neck. In his hands he holds a trident and an ax. His attributes include a water jug. His face is turned to the south (Dakshina), the direction which brings good luck. He is the greatest of all the yogis.

Stand in a mirror, and look forward at the things behind you, and you should have a profound realization. Look into some still waters at the sky above you.

No, its a realization of balance, of male and female in perfect balance, neither one nor tother. Don't complicate it, keep it simple. Shiva is the fourth level, the level of the heart, nothing to do with any gods or religion, its a level of consciousness. It s progress. Its the destroyer of the limiting lower regions of consciousness and a rebirth into unconditional love and healing.

Love and Light

So certain, and others that have daily contact with these beings are just hallucinating, I suppose.
I don't agree with you Carmen.
