Seven Day Adventists & safety within Maine?
Wanted to throw out there the day Avalon came online, I read in the community/resource section on the site that the best way to find out about safe places in your region is to read about your local mythologies/end of day tales which may reveal such safe locations. Two hours later after that, I was in a conversation with a friend, and suddenly he hop skipped a bunch with a big tangent to the Seven Day Adventists (like it was really off topic), in which he asked one he knew why there were so many Seven Day Adventists in Maine, and he said that's because in our End of Days beliefs Maine is considered a safe place to be. Oh the synchronicities.
I've done a bunch of research but to no avail on the subject. My campus is in Gorham, Maine which was supposedly a hotbed for them in the 1800's so I'm going to seek out a church to inquire with the minister.
However, while reading the end of days myths within that sect of Christianity, many interesting things did present themselves. Big thing that stood out but does anyone have any clue/relation to the idea of 2300 days?
