My intuition tells me what they fear is as truly corny as it sounds, is a mass awakening of some sort, a raising consciousness, and I think their time is short.

James from Wingmakers described the "End of Time" itself....describing it as a warm breeze that will blow across the waters--quite distressing and disorienting for some. Although for those who sails are furled, it will be like a weight has been lifted.

I think there is a race to get the control mechanisms in place before things get out of their (perceived) control. The reality is that I think events may have already gotten out of hand, and the process has truly begun. Whatever the process is.
