I'm very sorry to have behaved in a irrational manner in my last reply-so sorry please accept-i wish you were here to speak face to face-i'd hug you and say"C'mon Jack have a listen to this...it means somethin'-yer know, wild stuff"etc.,etc.
It can be sometimes quite debilitatin' on the end of a keyboard and not having the ability to exercise/exorcise,lol. the mouth and physical gesture to comfort one another-i know you understand what i'm saying.
Sorry for that;-i just love music with meaning, always have.

Hey Sue,Wish you were here is a great toooooon-reminds me the first time i visited Castlerigg stone circle in the lakes. The night before i was in Sunderland with a couple of Iranian refugees who
were workin' for their mate who owned a pizza house. We stayed up all night-twas june 20th smokin away an' drinkin watchin the sun come up and talking about all sorts from their 3 storey abode.Wild and great,we then went across the Holston block,a minor massif in the north of england to the lake district by coach to spend solstice at the stone circle, camping out-it was very hot weather,Floyd,Clannad,Tull, all sorts of sounds;Ozrics etc etc.

Hey! Don't say bad things about Kylie!!
Kylie Minogue is a warm kind woman doing her very best to fill your body and soul with joy.

Pink Floyd should be renamed Pink Marx, they play sad communistic songs that must likely will blind your soul, kill your brain and ruin your sense of humour.

I always kinda like Roger Waters' amused to death album, particularly perfect sense...seems kinda poignant in these times to me.

Minor earth major sky-quality music. This is driving in an open top car on a lonely road stuff.
This music requires major loudspeakers and decent amplification to process the information correctly!!!

The best band in the universe, not necesserily my favourite, listen to them too much and it does kind of depress you.

nonetheless, did more drugs than any other band in the world, wrote better songs than anyone..... see the connection?

As a kid, the first music album i bought was: 'Meddle'.

Want a proof they were on drugs?
Listen to: 'Echoes' on the same album. (great one by the way)

salute.

i was blessed, i had a real cool next door neighbour
who bought me a stereo record player for my 3rd xmas,
i was 2 days short of my 4th birthday ...
so, this was xmas of 1962
and, i played "snoppy vs. the red baron"
at 33/45/and, 98 rpm's LOL

i remember it sounded a lot like The Chipmunks

the first album i purchased was
Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band by The Beatles
i think, i spent all the money i had in the world,
to buy it, and, then, i didn't like it all that much

i did like Allan Parsons - To the one in Paradise

and, Tales of Mysteries and Imagination - i loved that

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells

Beck/Bogart/Apiece - remember them ???

The Doors--driving music !!!

ahhh....we truly do set our lives to music

once, i sat and listened
to a set from the
60's 70's 80's and, 90's
and, tired to remember,
what i was doing the first time,
i heard each song --
that was quite interesting,
as, it really jogged my memory

brightest blessings to all
susan

I was in that film as an extra, couple of great days seeing how a film is made.
The opening scene where all the kids run along a tunnel, Im in a hot dog stand as they run past, my brother was in the crowd running. it was filmed from the back of a VW beetle in the old wembley stadium in london. The scene where you see the outside of a stadium concert - loads of people, chaos and a guy gets chased by the police - I'm in a hot dog stand It was filmed outside wembley stadium, the police are though dressed as american cops. I dont even like hotdogs

We dont need no edukashun

peace

How about some "new" stuff that may be of interest to old pinkers?
