I think you misread the sentence. He says "lived like the devil." That means he did some things in his private life that were considered wrong, like sleeping with other women while being married.

Except that marriage itself is a sham. That's a story for another thread though.

My father thinks that LBJ had Kennedy killed. I wonder if there's any credence to that?
