The silence in nature
Has anyone else noticed how silent it is outside? I was walking my dog yesterday evening, when I noticed how silent there is....! It is like the nature is holding it`s breath waiting for something big to happen. It`t like silence before the the big storm...!
I live in the south west coast of Norway where the wind usually blows every day, but now II can`t really remember the last time it was windy outside. (But hey, that just might be my bad memory). It just gives me the chill... |

Re: The silence in nature
Yes, I was commenting today to my family that it had been very still lately here in New Zealand. We usually have a lot of Northwest wind, but not nearly as much this summer/autumn. Nature in some ways does seem to be holding its breath. We had a small earthquake last Sunday morning. It was unusual in that it jolted the bed, but did not cause the lights to swing. I'd never experienced that before.

Re: The silence in nature
I live near the army ranges and yesterday while sitting in the garden I heard the biggest loudest bang I've ever heard from there, it was so loud I thought that a house up the road had exploded and was expecting to hear sirens.
But as for nature I can hear a pigeon outside at the moment |

Re: The silence in nature
sibir ... you have written precisely what i wrote someone yesterday ...
that stillness in the energy outside ... a pause ... i felt everything to be just waiting for something ... it feels like a portion of something to already be where it is meant to be and yet ... the pause facilitates another part waiting to catch up ... like a holding tank ... the way i described it felt to me last evening was like someone was turning the lever of a jack-in-the-box ... oh so very slowly ... hearing that silly tune ... knowing its familiarity ... and yet ... experiencing the anticipation that jack will soon make an appearance ... but not knowing just when ... but feeling ... he will ... ooh ... didn't mean for this to be cryptic ... still feel the stillness of the pause this day too ... hmm ... |

it is unusually quiet here too is Midwestern suburb
I feel like on roller coaster when the coaster just climbed the hill almost pausing on the plateau all we need to do now is to take deep breath and enjoy the ride ,it will be over soon and then we will laugh our hearts out . Nanaste' |

Re: The silence in nature
Well, I blame it on spring being really present now, but indeed there is a 'peace' even here in London, but it could just be me.
The sirens never stop of course. |
