Default Chakra test

Want to know how your Chakras are doing ?
Take the Chakra test. The quiz consists of 56 questions.
Try to be as honest as possible, so that you can get the most out of it.There are explainations and helpfull tips at the end.

Mine:
Root: under-active (13%)
Sacral: open (44%)
Navel: open (69%)
Heart: open (38%)
Throat: open (69%)
Third Eye: open (69%)
Crown: over-active (88%)

Seems that I have neglected my root chakra lately.

First of all, thank you for the test, I enjoy some soul searching. Speaking about neglected root chakra...
Root: under-active (0%)
Sacral: open (25%)
Navel: open (56%)
Heart: open (69%)
Throat: over-active (75%)
Third Eye: over-active (88%)
Crown: open (56%)

Funny that... Goodness me, living in a land of fantasy on occasions, check. It’s time to balance these bad boys.

hmmm seems a bit of a trend here with the low root chakra activity

mine:

Root: under-active (-19%)
Sacral: open (31%)
Navel: open (31%)
Heart: over-active (69%)
Throat: over-active (69%)
Third Eye: open (56%)
Crown: open (63%)

gonna have to meditate on balancing me thinks . I like ananda giri oneness meditation for this ... the website suggests this for the root chakra... it seems doing "keegles"(sp?) helps

Techniques to open the Root Chakra

Using the body and becoming aware of it

The Root chakra, being the first chakra, is the most physical one. This means that any activity that makes one more aware of the body, will strengthen this chakra.

This particularly goes for physical activity. One can do sports, martial arts, walking, yoga, Tai Chi, it all helps. But also house-cleaning, manual dishwashing and car-cleaning. It is important not to do things that make one insensitive to pain and not to overdo it. Exhaustion is just not good.

Zen meditation is an activity that seems to be the contrary of physical, but actually is. This can make one very aware of the body.

Grounding

The Root chakra is particularly about connecting to the ground. Expressions like "Be on firm ground" and "Getting on your feet again" convey a good connection and an open Root chakra. "To lose ground" and "Getting swept off your feet" convey a closed (or almost closed) Root chakra. When your Root chakra is closed too far, you may actually feel that your feet don't seem to really touch the ground.

This is an exercise to strengthen this connection to the ground.

Stand up straight and relaxed.
Put your feet shoulder width apart.
Slightly bend your knees.
Put your pelvis somewhat forward.
Keep your body balanced, so that your weight is evenly distributed over the soles of your feet.
Sink your weight downward.

Keep in this position for several minutes.

Contracting bottom muscles

By contracting the muscles that are between the anus and the genitals, the Root Chakra is stimulated. At each inhalation, contract these muscles inward, at each exhalation, relax. Do this for a few minutes.

This can be done while sitting, standing or walking.

Thanks for the tips TwoRone. I should have thought that something was askew when during my 3 times a week, 5 kilometer power walk along this beautiful tree lined pedestrian jogging path, I feel as if I can leap up and touch the tips of the trees. It's a wonderful feeling.
But we also know that it is important for all of our chakras to be open and allowing energy flow.
In my case though, I think that it is more about overcompensation. Over the past couple of years I decided that it was time to nurture my higher chakras more. I think that I might be overdoing it.

what the heck, I'm just floating around in my over-activity!
so I get that I need to work on my root and be more grounded, so to speak,
but is the idea here to be more balanced, is being over-active an extreme
and therefore needs work too?

no worries I did the test twice, in the morning and in the evening, results were different and both times under and over active chakras would come out in places were never I would agree are true, so don't take this to personally, it's not a percentage contest :-)

Hi Rebel,
The Naval or solar plexis chakra is concerned with your mental awareness, which connects you to your mind power. It is the center that governs your ability to learn and comprehend. The solar plexus center is known to govern your ego and your will power. It is the sun center that emits optimism and confidence.

To learn more about chakras and the energy centers they are in charge of as well as different excercises and color remedies, please go to these helpfull links:

http://www.chakraenergy.com/system.html

http://www.sacredcenters.com/chakras...ises#chakraall

Besides specific yoga and focused meditations, its interesting how we can use
color in the foods we eat and the clothes that we wear to balance our chakras.
Carrying different crystals on our person also assists in chakra balancing.

Navel: open (50%)

Third Eye: over-active (88%)
Crown: over-active (88%)

third eye, If this chakra is over-active, you may live in a world of fantasy too much. In excessive cases halucinations are possible.

crown, If this chakra is over-active, you are probably intellectualizing things too much. You may be addicted to spirituality and are probably ignoring your bodily needs.

well thanks yiolas, super test and was fun , seems as though i need to calm my 3rd eye and crown......i actually do have to close them down slightly or i do see auras and swirly wavey stuff every where, also other realms, and all the extra info can give one a headache! but on the up note it is easy to enter meditation and shamanic work because of this. seems the other charckras are doing fine.....i am pleased to see my heart is open (have been working on the heart for a good couple of years now, since i split from my ex). the results actualy are quite spot on, have cheacked out my chakras with my pendulum to see how close the results would be.

love m x

It's uncanny how this test does identify behaviors and thought processes that we still need to work on, no matter how evolved we think we are.

It's nice to know in what areas we might need a little tweeking.
