Unemployment?
Quick story this morning on the morning news (and not repeated, but I was watching the local 5am to 7am part, so it may be repeated later) about a potential crash of the unemployment system.
Thought I would mention it and see if anyone else had seen anything else on this. Alys |

Re: Unemployment?
All I have to say about the unemployment system is that it is woeful and doesn't do enough to help workers. When I lost my job nearly 5 years ago, unemployment only amounted to $150 a week and it was not enough to pay bills, etc. I ended up going into debt until I could find a job.

Re: Unemployment?
How about this story from Newsday:
Jump in jobless claims crashes NY unemployment system and from USA Today: North Carolina unemployment claims crash website and from walletpop.com (referring to a Columbus Dispatch story): Ohio unemployment claims crash the system and from CBS News (referring to problems in several states): Unemployment Claims Crash System Last edited by Jnana; 01-07-2009 at 09:54 PM. |
