Default South shore, Nova Scotia Canada

Hello out there.
We are a founding Ecovillage in Nova Scotia, Canada.

We have there a good agricoltural land, with a lake, 25 m. above the current sea level.

Our goal is not to "simply survive" but to reppresent an alternative for the "next world". In this sense is is important for us that a common ethic is shared by all the group member.

below our "nine principles"

1. Unity - We believe that succeeding as one community is as important as succeeding independently. Balancing empowerment and interdependence makes us stronger. Dow's impact on the world is far greater than the impact of any one of its parts. We will work together, building relationships to create value for us and our neighbourhoods.

2. Passion - We show enthusiasm and dedication in everything that we do.

We wholeheartedly believe in this project; its goals and objectives are our mission, and we fervently embrace them and patiently pursue them.

3. Liability - We accept our individual and team responsibilities and we meet our commitments. We take responsibility for our performance in all of our decisions and actions.

4. Diversity -We recognize the importance of diversity. We honour the rights and beliefs of our Members, our customers and our neighborhoods. We treat others with the highest degree of dignity, equality and trust.

5. Force - We are a community in which individuals possess the resources, knowledge, courage and commitment to make the world a better place.

6. " Outside-in Focus” – Our Community is open to the world. We believe that advancement comes also from looking at situations through external eyes. Taking an "outside-in" view ensures that our path is always relevant and that our ideas are applied to "real world" challenges.

7. Support- We truly believe in each other, care, protect and support each other. We extend this aim to our customers and neighbourhoods.

8. Integrity -We employ the highest ethical standards, demonstrating honesty and fairness in every action that we take.

Our integrity is a critical asset and we are committed to upholding it. We set high standards, and we abide by them as we practice relationships fairly and behave ethically.

9. Balance - we think our future depends on flexibility – on a mental, emotional and physical level. All the principles exposed above require plasticity in their application.

Hi

Good for you!. Obviously some thought and study has gone into your plans. I'm also involved in developing communities for the future. Many have ideas that emotionally appeal to the unwitting. BUt ultimately the human elements are directed consciously or unconsciously to disrupt. I'm interested in learning about the structure that people creating these new communities will use to prevent those who have money to make physical things manifest but lack the emotional,spiritual and psychological maturity to actually be a harmonious, energetic component, of a "radiant zone".
Your area is good.

Our planning started around 10 years ago, investing in the people that decided to take part of the group.
This was made to create and experience a different ethic.
4 years ago we found out the place and from this moment we started to works to develop the project from a more pragmatical point of view.

So thanks to this approach we are very advanced in our path.
Nevertheless we discovered that the conflicts are always behind the corner, so I'm very carefull with this.
In a difficult situation everybody has the chance to give the best not only the worse of himself.
Inner changes are often driven by extenal ones, so a crash can be also a big chance.

Hello ZZZZZZ!
The community is not in planning status but much more in advanced realization.
We have a land and we have some buildings .
The next step is to start farming activities.

We are in the municipality of Yarmouth. I will tell the exact location to those that are interested to partecipate.
If you are send me a private message with your background.

The main features of our project are:
Main features of the Eliopoli project are:

* Unique Architecture
* Localized business
* Cooperation as base of (social) life
* Community's participation
* Common resources
* Skill sharing
* New applied technologies
* Local health care centre
* Welfare optimization

we decided also to keep some Limits

This project aims to limit its expansion to certain parameters, they are:

* The land will remain a single lot.
* Max 9 households.
* Max of 32 residents.
* Max surface for the residential sector 10% of the total land surface.

thanks exchanger,
I love Canada and Nova scotia also
Thanks, I'm a little bit concerned about Canada becoming part of the US.
That would be having similar (fascists) laws like patriot act or worse.
what is your opinion about?

I thought that issue was settled in 1812! But who can tell the way things are happening right now. We have always had good relations with the U.S. and I certainly hope we remain good neighbours but not become part of the family. Our system of government, for better or worse, is different also.

If you have watched the Benjamin Fulford videos on Camelot you would have heard him mention that the US was controlled by the Rockfeller branch of the Illuminati whereas Canada is overseen by the Rothchilds. In his opinion, we have the better deal.

I am reading this thread for the first time. I wish you and your friends much success with your project. You picked your location well. My husband's family lives in Nova Scotia (Cape Breton) and I must say that the people living in the Maritimes are noted for their friendliness and hospitality. Your community will provide inspiration and a model for the local residents.
