Fear Mongering, Does anyone else see this?
It seems that with most of the discussions these days something is about to happen in the near future. For example, if you guys remember, at the begining of this year, things were about to pick up steam by the end of this year, I certainly have not seen anything drastic as was predicted by some. I by no means am looking forward to anything bad happening, but doesn't it look like most of the "researchers" in the conspiracy arena are always claiming that something is to happen shortly, but the "shortly" never really come around, its always postponed to another date, another month, another year. I am beginning to wonder if we are being had big time. Someone g'me an "Amen" on that.

Re: Fear Mongering, Does anyone else see this?
I indeed, am definitely tempted to give you an Amen on this point. I think that there are many researchers all looking to pinpoint some sort of critical tipping point in some area or another, that they believe will quickly cascade throughout the world. A financial meltdown. Some sort of planetary disaster. These are the main areas of concern, I suppose.
But to be realistic I think we just have to concede that all we really have are various theories that have been developed by people and put forward. Some are more realistic and credible than others to be sure, but I have never seen anybody thus far point towards a specific date and say: This is the "day of disaster" with anything solid to back up their assertion. We can predict trends, and quite intelligently assess a system, and know that it is unstable and will fail e.g the global financial system. But just exactly when catastrophic failure occurs...that is not really possible to say. Free will is the most important factor in all of this though, in my opinion. And yet, whatever does happen, for each of us as individuals, I think it is most critical that when that thief in the night strikes, we should each have our accounts favourably in order, and thus be ready to go. Re: Fear Mongering, Does anyone else see this?
I think that the most important point that seems to be missed by many people, including the "conspiracy audience", of which I am one, is that when people that are supposed to be "in the know" predict something, it's merely a possibility. Nothing more, nothing less. It is not set in stone that it will happen.
Our free will and state of mind (through consciousness) have a lot if not everything to do with what awaits us in the future. Far too often this is something that is not addressed and when "doom and gloom" information is presented in one form or another, it is normally done so in such a way that makes it seem as though it is inevitable at some point. The biggest thing that I believe we all have to learn (including myself at times) is that the future is changing all the time and we are the ones that are altering it. Personally, I still have some anxiety about what is going to happen in the next few years, but fundamentally I understand that my thoughts and actions also play an important role in how that future plays out and that is perhaps the most important lesson one can learn. |

When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world. Your innermost sense of self, of who you are, is inseparable from stillness. This is the I Am that is deeper than name and form. Eckhart Tolle from " Stillness speaks " Love Always mudra |

Of course we could put ourselves in a bubble and live deep in the forest. That would work. We would not experience any negativity, people, information etc. Oh I forgot, we might have to deal with bear, coyotes, racoons etc. Ok...bad plan.

Re: Fear Mongering, Does anyone else see this?
Since I have been here ,I and many of us have witnessed predictions coming and going. The only prediction that came true this year for me was in a monthly newsletter from Elizabeth Baron who channels for St. Catherine of Siena, her channeled monthly messages are motivating and encouraging. St. Catherine predicted early this year of the earthquakes specifically in the mountains of Italy which did indeed happen. ( IT's a free newsletter) It was about 3 months prior to the event.
I remember when I attended Rolling Thunder in Washinton DC 2 years ago. I am a motorcycle rider and escort our Gold Star mothers every year. A gold star mom is a woman who had a son, daughter, or husband who were serving in the military and lost their life serving our country. There are 230,000 gold Star Mothers in the U.S. Rolling Thunder happens every memorial day weekend in DC , typically over 500,000 motorcycles show up for the day to ride in the precession to remember our missing in action soldiers, prisoners of war, and honor our vets and the causes that mean so much for all of our freedom. I was standing on the side of the street during rolling thunder weekend, one of the DC security swat guys was standing next to me and we got talking, he said there was a bomb threat in DC. And the next sentence was that 550 bomb threats happen every year in DC. So what I am saying is just like the swat guy, always take the precautions, prep for a day we hope will never come, fight for the good cause, enjoy your everyday life and DO NOT be consumed by fear of the prediction. There is much more to life than thinking what could/could not happen than living in the NOW, like right now. The energy we emit of living our life is so much more powerful than the negative non-productive forces. I do enjoy being part of Avalon as when any events do happen around our world, this place and it's family has some of the most knowledgable people, I truly enjoy the company here. |

I think that the only predictions that one can count on are the ones you make for yourself.
Of course you can elect to be informed by the predictions of others, but that is a choice, and everyone knows (or should know) that they are not certainties. A.. |

Re: Fear Mongering, Does anyone else see this?
The only failed prophesy is the one that comes true.
Prophesies are a warning if you keep going this way, this is what you will get. Change your course by even .5 degrees and you will end up in a new place 10 miles down the road. The people who know how to manipulate time and space go to work on negative prophecies - so most of them do not come true. |

Re: Fear Mongering, Does anyone else see this?
Fear mongering is rampant. Everything that could possibly be out to get us is definitely out to get us according to someone. Every disaster that could possibly happen has been associated with the 2012 date by someone. Terrorists are out to get us too. The government is out to get us. The elite are out to get us. Aliens are out to get us. Don't eat, don't drink, don't breath, or you will be poisoned. And on and on. Some of this is profiteering, some is disinformation, some is psy-ops, and some is true. Are you afraid yet? Good! Then you will never find the solution, which is love.
