Hi Beren ...

It's difficult at these times to discern what is truth and that which is not...There is soooo much dis-info out there to lead us down the wrong road it gets very confusing to say the least...

I know you have read this (maybe thats prompted your thread...who knows) anyway I'll place it again for other folk.

http://www.projectavalon.net/forum/s...07&postcount=1

Yes you are right there are some extremely good story tellers here at the moment, and as long as we are aware that the story line is fiction then its not a problem. However once people start to believe into the core then you can debate if there freewill is taken away. Tread carefully.

In answer to your origibal question.

No matter how painfull TRUTH is...no matter how brutal TRUTH is...

TRUTH is what I want.

I will always side with TRUTH.

Truth is my true freind, and TRUTH will be with me in time.

She will always unfold before me, in eventuality.

Viking ,

Often I wonder about many things and learn from many things. But whenever I get stuck I recall that Christ`s words in this situation ; know the truth and it will set you free.
Also more of a good advices he gave was in regard to this conversation and that is ; by their fruit ,you will know them. You can `t reap grapes from a fig tree and reverse.

I paraphrased it.

I tend when read or listen others to feel the spirit behind the words and demeanor . Then I see what kind of fruit they bare. Is it love, truth, wisdom, discernment, knowledge or lies, sugarcoating, mistreating, downing, insulting, blinding.

It is not easy doing this since nobody`s perfect ( starting from me) but that`s the way to protect myself from fraudsters.

For example I highly doubt in posts you set over here ,when you do copy paste thing, but I read them to see if they hold a value or not.
I see through the veil that you my friend are the soul wishing and longing for truth and freedom and in your research you do your best even if you stumble sometimes. That`s why I appreciate you Viking.

We`re all brothers and sisters and if but a one wishes to get out from this collective mud and mire ,then I will be the first to cheer them up!

Remember that old saying;

united we stand , divided we fall?

That`s just like that. Plain and simple.

Fairy tales...is a very "lightweight "word for what we are discussing...

So none of you see the value in imagination?

Celine, without imagination we would be droids...

We`re a bit on a different line of conversation right now and that has nothing to do with organic fairy tales.
But what is interesting many believe in modern fairy tales we see daily in news, forums and rest.

I happen to think there is sufficient evidence for past earth cataclysms, if that is what you are specifically referring to.

Of course human thoughts and beliefs effect reality, I think the religious intolerance and holy wars that go on to this day are a testament to that fact.

I'm inclined to agree.

There was and probably is a 'truth' to the channeling stuff, however all I have seen in my life time is people using it to spread lies and take advantage of others, but despite my inherent bias against anyone who claims to be a channeler, I do think there is or was such a thing as 'real channeling', whether it still exists or not is another matter entirely.

You are confusing thoughts with actions. While true thoughts proceed action (well in most people) only human actions effect reality. Of course there is evidence for past cataclysms. However, how many religious sects have promoted 'end-dates' that they believed in fervently (putting pets to death, etc., etc.) that have come to naught? Countless.

The earth and the solar system have cycles which are independent of human thought and human action. We are at the mercy of such a colossal system that our efforts, one way or another, are below noise level.

Indeed. We will get to the point one day when we`ll understand how everything works. Until then, growing up is on the menu.

Viking, remember that tune ( I don't know exactly who sings it)

"imagination-could make a man of you"

Imagination is a creative stick in our hands...now and in the future!
So we WILL create fairy tales, from our hearts and souls, fairy tales that are true!

Imaginations just might be the problem right now....
It is always very good to imagine, howEVER when it comes to the real issues at hand... it's time for leveled thinking.

Attitude, as Tango writes, is essential, however, that good attitude still is facing reality, get it? Facing the Real but w/Attitude... you Still get done what is needed to get done and IF you are met w/defeat in the outcome, your attitude takes you into the hereafter w/finesse! (in that we all die one way or another).. so be it!

Love Lives!

If you make someone think they think...they'll love you.

If you make someone REALLY think...they'll hate you.

Knowing and Thinking You Know...are two very different things.

What do you think?

Do you think?

Come On! THINK!!!

Orthodoxymoron (there,I typed whole name )

I believe my friend you have said one truth here and now.
That is one of the reasons I started this thread. People DO NOT LIKE truth. They prefer rainbows and eventually pots of gold underneath... They are totally missing the point.

I often think how much time Creator will allow us to get to our senses...
Sad fact is that PTB's are doing darn good job in further numbing and locking us down...

As soon as one person finally start opening their eyes ,then smack! That person got hit with newest world series of NFL or baseball or American idol or Hollywood junk or news around the world or bachelor or is Clay Aiken gay or not or Angelina Jolie adopted another black child ( then they rumor is an Asian next?!? ) or whatever you might think of in this world...

Hell of a fight Ortho , right?

Love Always
mudra

Just like water was turned into wine, love creates paths where there were none! Mighty Himalayas are but a pebble mountains before love...

With love you can move problems who stood like Himalayas...turn them into meadows of flowers...then you pick the flower ,feel its scent and say...now we`re talking...

It`s that easy and it`s that complicated...

But to love ,it means to live ,see, gaze, feel through divine, to be one with Creator.
