View Full Version : What I learned at school today

This will be an experiment of sorts. In an effort to facilitate the sharing of information, I'd like to invite people to post the information, ideas and experiences which they've found most useful/inspirational here. This thread could then act as more or less an information filter of what's going on in both the world at large and here at Avalon. In order to maintain the usefulness of this thread, please limit yourself to no more than 3 posts per day here.

The initial image and most of part one may not seem so, but this is the most inspirational video I've encountered in quite some time. As Inelia says, watch all four parts.

Several people have mentioned that the information flow across this forum has become a bit overwhelming of late. As Avalon grows so will the flow of information among members. In an effort to help make the gems among our posts easier to find, I hit upon the idea of choosing not more than three per day and posting them in a kind of "Best of Avalon" thread. I started my own personal "best of" thread here and invited others to participate. So far only one other person has done so, and even that was posted with two dead links which were subsequently removed but not fixed. Hmm, not a very auspicious beginning. Doing something like this still seems worthwhile to me, if it gets off the ground. If it seems like a reasonably good idea to you as well, please post something here or start a similar thread of your own. Many thanks.

I think this thread is a great idea !

Seems like a good place to share " stuff" without adding to the noise level.

For me i have learned that free will vs an interventionist approach has got me
going round in circles !

The current Charles thread got me pondering on that one.

This post by Magicmanx is quite arresting, to say the least.

From a PDF of Three Little Words kindly provided by Hurritt Enyeto here (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?9462-Interesting-books-in-pdf&p=82737&viewfull=1#post82737), I learned a helpful meditation:

"I know that I am pure spirit, that I always have been, and that I always will be. There is inside me a place of confidence and quietness and security where all things are known and understood. This is the Universal Mind, God, of which I am a part and which responds to me as I ask of it. This universal mind knows the answer to all of my problems, and even now the answers are speeding their way to me. I needn't struggle for them; I needn't worry or strive for them. When the time comes, the answers will be there..."

While parts of the book don't resonate with me, this meditation really does. I've paraphrased it into the affirmation, "God is helping me solve all my problems." Funny that as I say the affirmation in my head during the day, I realize many things I thought were problems really aren't.

Great thread, Hawkwind!
