Solar flares - Event X

Just saw on Al Jazeera

Three solar flares on valentines day will arrive on earth later today!
Told to expect disruptions on radios,cellphones,Internet etc
It's being called 'EVENT X' (hmm...strange name)
Any info anyone?

Event X is in reference to the flares being of the X class variety
