Clarification of display name colours

Probably a daft question, but seeing as i can't find an answer on here on my own i'll ask you lot.

Anyone have any idea why our display names are in different colours and/or what do the different colours mean.

I'm not asking for any other reason than my colour was purpe but is now blue, just wondering what criteria there are for colour changes as my "level" on the forum has remained the same.

I now notice that i'm purple again, but still, any ideas?

moderators/admin are in red I think
blue could be senior members, purples probably newer members...must get upgraded as our post count increases.

Didnt we just do that? And then it changed and everyone seemed to like it. Must have happened before Feb 20
