Hypatia; First female scientist

Although The word of Scientist does not refer any gender separation; there was not any female 1600 years ago. Hypatia was the first recorded female scientist her accepted birthday was April 22 .Please let me introduce her to you.

She was the frontier and needed to be recognized.
There was a woman at Alexandria named Hypatia, daughter of the philosopher Theon, who made such attainments in literature and science, as to far surpass all the philosophers of her own time. Having succeeded to the school of Plato and Plotinus, she explained the principles of philosophy to her auditors, many of whom came from a distance to receive her instructions. On account of the self-possession and ease of manner which she had acquired in consequence of the cultivation of her mind, she not infrequently appeared in public in the presence of the magistrates. Neither did she feel abashed in going to an assembly of men. For all men on account of her extraordinary dignity and virtue admired her the more.

Her death, I believe, is regarded as the end of the old world and the beginning of the, then, new age of Christianity. I believe the story is that some wacky Christian was put up to it. He aroused the insanity of group of people and the skin was scrapped from her body with shells and then she was burned. Its a horrifying story. But now, we are at the end of another age....I only hope we have learned from history.

There is an another History written but hidden, forced to forget but fortunately there were,/are,/will unnamed historians keep recording.

John sent me this book from his NYC office...he lives in Spain! "Not in his image". An all around great guy!
