Dear people and citizen of this planet,

First of all I wish to thank you for the acceptance in this community.
I'm used to introduce myself to new people so why not now.
You may call me Elandiel, after some years of introvert study and research it's time to make a difference by action in this crucial time and join the movement.

As my first post I'd like to share with you how my journey began.

I only recently rediscovered what triggered my whole spiritual, esoteric growth process and I can't help to share and point out for anyone who has the same sensitivity for music, sounds and emotions how deep of an impact this music was for me.

I am talking about the band Yes, a progressive rockband only really known by few nowadays but considered to be one the best and most unique manifestations of modern age progressive music with multiple layers of deep sometimes spiritual meaning.

Close To The Edge, Fragile, Tales From Topographic Oceans, Relayer, Keys To Ascension and Magnification are just some of their masterpieces that will take you to other worlds and your inner self.

Maybe most of you might prefer more meditative and natural kind of spiritual music but let this be a tribute to what awakened my soul and started my spiritual awakening!

Reply with your favourite or most important spiritual band if you like, i'm curious already.

NB:Note how Yes' artwork (artist: roger dean) inspired the designs of the paradise moon of Pandora in Avatar

Enjoy the otherworldy images, and who knows how much of a prelude these serene scenes are to our new planet.

Let this post be a gathering of inspiring and beautiful exhalting music!

Hi Elandiel:welcome:

Thanks for your post. I believe spiritual music is very important for awakening, as it connects with your heart and emotions.

May I ask, did Yes produce an album inspired by Yogananda? If, so do you know it's name?

For me the Beatles and George Harrison have inspired me

Welcome to Avalon friend!

I too awoke through music. But then how could one not?! It is afterall the vibration of this entire universe as we currently understand it n'est pas?

I have never heard of this band, the artwork is brilliant. I'm now going to find them online and investigate. This could be a real adventure, one for which I thank you in advance. Muchos gracias

Music has played a big part in my spiritual life as well - both in listening and as a musician. I have been a fan of YES since 1979 and find their music to be both challenging and enlightening. Yes Talk is one of my favorite albums - amazing musicianship.

Hola adio Elandiel :) Dit is geen muziek, maar wel een aankondiging van een muziek event in Holland. The yes artwork in here is awesome, Elandiel, very esthetic, the third one is my favorite as it has a Japanese refinement and magic, with the red text in it. I love music also, as an expression of feelings, magical atmosphere and to dance on, yes! Very much so! <>^<>^<>^<>
Here's the info on the music event:

Copy post 20th of Sept. by Tintagelcave on the"Free energy and future technology" section: "Cosmic Sensation Dance and Music Event Holland Sept. 30 - Oct. 2 2010
Hi there dancing Avalonians, this is a unique event in Holland! Cosmic particles will steer the music and who knows what....? The De Jong Team of the Radboud University of Nijmegen has won an Academic Yearprice with this. Such a nice merging of technology, cosmic signals and how should I call this.....spaced out people? A wonderful opportunity to connect with outer space....? Just to let you know this is happening amidst the fall of the Roman Empires in our world... Cheerio, Tint.

Cosmic Sensation will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen or heard before! Music, lights and images will be triggered by cosmic rays which we detect on the spot. Every time our equipment detects a cosmic particle something in the music and images will change. The event will take place inside a huge dome, capable of holding up to 1000 people. And we promise: inside the dome you will experience something totally unique. You will be completely captured by the flow of music and images – everywhere you look and listen we will astound you with the most baffling effects modern technique can offer.

Totally new is the advanced translation of the cosmic ray information into sound and music in three layers:

Cosmic Composer
Information coming from the sensors is translated into notes that will be sequenced in a step sequencer. Pitch and timing is set by the universe, but placed in a grid, to adapt to our natural feel for music. Think about jazz meets elektro ! You can hear these live generated sound combinations at the entrance and near the restrooms.

Cosmic Ambient
Information from the detectors is used to steer ambient tracks in a directional manner. Eight loudspeakers in as many directions will produce infinite layers of ambient music, immersed in pleasant ambient background music. Once detectors are hit, new layers start to play from the same direction as the cosmic ray triggering it.

Cosmic Remix
Making music with a galactic conductor in the Cosmic Composer of Cosmic Ambient will end up in a result that we may not able to dance to. But with the Cosmic Remix you just can’t sit still.

Every evening the Kings of AM will perform a 2 hour live DJ set, built around tracks specially composed for Cosmic Sensation. The tracks are prepared in multichannel versions that are unmixed. Once the DJ decides to spin one of these songs, the universe determines its sound by mixing the different channels based on the cosmic ray information. While playing the sound keeps on changing depending on the cosmic ray information arriving. In other words, even if the DJ would play the same track ten times or more, it will never sound the same! The mixed-by-the-universe version of a song comes into the mixing deck of the DJ, who can mix these tracks like any other record. The whole DJ set is played out on high-end wireless headphones.

Gloria in Excelsis Deo
Gloria in Excelsis Deo
Gloria in Excelsis Deo

Qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis
Qui tollis peccata mundi,
suscipe deprecationem nostram

Tell me why I feel so sad, so sad
Tell me why I feel so sad
Tell me why I feel so sad, so sad
Tell me why I feel so sad...

Qui sedes ad dexteram patris, miserere nobis
Gratias agimus tibi,
propter magnum gloriam tuum

Tell me why I feel so sad, so sad
Tell me why I feel so sad
Tell me why I feel so sad, so sad
Tell me why I feel so sad...

Jesu Christu... Amen
Jesu Christu (so sad, so sad, so sad) Amen
Jesu Christu... Amen
Jesu Christu... Amen

The best spiritual music is devoid of vocal patterns as the human ego works through subvocalization. in order to shed the ego one must not listen to music with vocals that are recognizable as 'voice' (language you personally recognize or know). Tis' best to move to symphonic works or ambient, etc music. One of the key points.

It's still beautiful music, and I do appreciate it and like it. :)

Spirituality can be found in many paths.

But the ego shedding path requires a specific path, for the most part. One of those requirements is to shed all connection to the internal voice, to remove all of it's props...in order to get the higher self to shine through unhindered. The internal voice is deeply and intimately connected to the emotions, the two are for the most part, inseparable. Seemingly so. So it does satisfy the emotions to listen to vocal reflections of ego. Ie, to sing along with music, internally and externally. I am as guilty of that as anyone else. However, I do recognize and fully understand the point of sublimating the ego to gain my freedom....and have listened almost solely to music devoid of vocals since the age of about 12-13.
