Hi there,

Im a new poster and so i can only start threads in general discussion, but id be unsure where to post this anyhow.

Over the last couple of years, i've noticed a theme of dreaming certain things and then the following day experiencing the same event or at the very least a situation connected to a symbol or a theme in the nights before dream.

As i've read here im sure this is quite very common amongst readers here; but i've never openly shared this with anyone so maybe id like some kind of validation.

The first time i remember experiencing this was when i had a vivid dream of an earthquake. I'd been drinking pretty heavily that evening (i was only 22 or so) and put the dream down to a alcohol disturbed sleep. The following morning i switched on the news and there had been a large earthquake in turkey or somewhere. I was sleeping in a room with no television nearby so it was impossible to put it down to hearing about it in my sleep.

Another example was that i dreamt about a scene where i could hear ambulance sirens but i could not figure out from what direction. The very next day and id forgotten about the dream, im in my car and the very same situation occurred to me. It was so vividly clear it scared me. I live in quite a rural area where the sound of sirens and ambulances are not common like you might find in an urban setting.

In the last 18 months i have had more of these experiences; whereby i dream some kind of situation and the same situation pops up. Sometimes it is not always exactly literal but i will experience a symbolic representation. But still there is always some kind of connection with the next days events.

I was wondering if this is common with anyone else here?

Is this evidence of other latent psychic ability or is it purely random?

Can i consciously develop this "ability" to live a more conscious life?

what is the purpose of these insights?

Id appreciate any advice....

Manythanks KM

Hello KM. Welcome to Avalon. I believe pre-cog dreams to be a perfectly natural bleedthrough of our latent understanding of creating our own realities. :) Or at least being aware of what is being created. The question for most folks is not wether the dream was real, but rather, do they embrace the fact that they have predicted and/or created their physical realities. I believe that reality is the reflection, and that the dreaming/astral worlds are where the creative juju comes from. This is not easy to embrace, even while faced with the facts. '

I have had a good friend on the hook with this for years. He will not break,,, he knows that he has had pre-cog dreams and he will NOT discuss it with me anymore. It freaks him out. He is not ready, but some of us are!!! We are waking up and starting to have the courage to embrace our experiences. Congrats,,, I think you have come to the right place. Jake.

P.S. We sleep that we may dream,,, We dream that we may wake. :)

Thanks for the prompt service, Jake!

in my understanding, such precog dreams where there sooms no overAriding purpose to the pre-conceived event itself, such dreams could be considered to be an invitation for the prompt service, Jake!

in my understanding, such precog dreams where there seems no over-riding purpose to the pre-conceived event itself, such dreams could be considered to be an invitation of the higher self to begin another level of manifestation and soul development. But, I am of the school of thought that says that all dreams are one of three things: real 'astral' events, more or less direct higher self communication, or indigestion. I hope everyone has a great day!

"we sleep, that we may dream, we dream that we may wake...."
I love that line.
That is exacly what I believe.

Premonition dreams have one purpose, to show us that our ordinary explanation of linear time is faulty.
Linear time exists to show sequences of development in the physical realm, but when education is in the hands of people who are totally devoid of spiritual understanding it becomes counterproductive and does a disservice to the specie.

I recall reading something long time ago in the Bahai writings that the proof that we have a soul comes from our dreams.
Going to google now.

My thing about the pre-cog dreams, which basically happen for me on a day to day basis, is that I have to remove the emotional overly that colors my interpretations. This overly creates shapes and tales (stories and their shape) like parables, of the reality that is there, that is to come.

When I go deeper into self hypnosis or learn to get below the layers of the autonomous system of being alive, in this avatar, looking out and through this avatar, when I loose the 'middle interpretive language' or 'polarizing filter' I then see the events and their sequences with little to no coloration.

Found it in the Seven Valleys of Baha'u'llah.

A paragraph in the Valley of Wonderment.

"One of the created phenomena is the dream.
Behold how many secrets are deposited therein,
how many wisdoms treasured up, how many worlds concealed.
Observe, how thou art asleep in a dwelling, and its doors are barred;
on a sudden thou findest thyself in a far-off city,
which thou enterest without moving thy feet or wearying thy body;
without using thine eyes, thou seest; without taxing thine ears, thou hearest;
without a tongue, thou speakest.
And perchance when ten years are gone,
thou wilt witness in the outer world the very things thou hast dreamed tonight.

Now there are many wisdoms to ponder in the dream,
which none but the people of this Valley can comprehend in their true elements.
First, what is this world, where without eye and ear and hand and tongue a man puts all of these to use?
Second, how is it that in the outer world thou seest today the effect of a dream,
when thou didst vision it in the world of sleep some ten years past?
Consider the difference between these two worlds and the mysteries which they conceal,
that thou mayest attain to divine confirmations and heavenly discoveries and enter the regions of holiness.

I agree with you.

Once I had a dream, where a voice was explaining me about the illusions of time.

This voice showed me white a table, with a straight line drawn in it, with two dots, representing the past and future. Then "he" put a translucent mirror in the middle of the line.

There was a dot printed in the middle of the mirror, which represented the present. Then, "he" showed me that the three dots, past, present and future, are shown in the mirror as just a single dot.

"He" called the vertical line, represented by the mirror, "Linen" and told me that past, present and future are the same thing, and happen simultaneously.

It was a nice dream.

Very nice indeed. And it shows that education from above
is correcting the wrong education we are getting from society.

Time and space have been stretched from a single point of eternity and infinity
to become endless tiny fragments for our minds to play with.

Our souls don't need such a game, or do they?

There must have been a purpose behind coming here into this pile of dust.
To take all these broken bits and create the same beauty that exists in eternity?

You take a young inexperienced, (or just inexperienced, in general) energetic dimensional, and you put them in a sandbox.

And they learn.

This is one dimension of many.

Each dimension may have it's energy forms, it's forms of intelligence.

According to Dolores Cannon and Micheal Newton..as a combined voice or combined idealization of their discoveries..., this space, this place, this school, this earth... is in danger of being damaged to a point of no return. A very big set of twists and turns is naturally hiding in there -this given prior sentence-, regarding fears, dreams, paranoia, freedom, love, etc.

Corrective measures are being made. The adherents, the participants, the students..are all part of the crew whoa are about to commit to the correction. However or whenever this correction may take place.

It's a pretty big boat, a big sandbox, so the correction will be slower than one thinks.

In order for the change to take place, and for the graduation of some to most (others may continue to learn and stay in the school, a rotating cast of characters), more of us will have to become aware of the fundamentals of the sandbox than is generally desirable, regarding dimensional awareness and our given level of capacity to ethically and empathetically control our learning machines, these avatars.

Just one interpretation.

There are many.

I have had a few precognitive dreams, but the most memorable one was about 10 years ago. I won't go into the details as its personal, but I had a dream of an event and it was VERY upsetting. The next day I woke up remembering the dream and feeling very insecure and worried. That evening the events manifested in EXACTLY the same way they had in my dream. I couldn't stop them happening and knew as they were happening that I was repeating my dream in my present time line. Actions, words , environment ..........everything was the same. It was a strange experience at the time! I was told some time after that I was being warned in my dream state for the events that were due to unfold the next day as they were (and they were) going to be shocking. It was 'given' to me to enable me to cope better with the event. In a way it did, but it was still very distressing.
Peace and LOVE to you

I honestly don't think it has to be that complicated, although in my case it was...because of how I am wired.

But I have seen some uneducated people doing amazing turn-arounds...just with a basic life style change, then sticking with a prayer-meditation routine. In Peru, Barbados, Costa Rica...countries that might be considered third world.

It is as fast or slow as individuals show a willingness to make the personal shift.

As they say, changing the world, one heart at a time.

Once in a while I would have a distressing dream, and knowing that some of my dreams have come true I would then become fearful. So a few years ago I started to use the dream as a warning, an opportunity to NOT let it happen.
This is what empowerment is all about.
I still believe in the will of God as an absolute...the area where little me can still fail.
There is always room for growth.
But there is quite a good chance to prevent accidents and unnecessary negative evenys simply by going into your own power and stating what you want to have happen instead.

I also believe it does not have to be that complicated.

For me, it was, possibly due to the complex wiring. The idea of the reflection being what one is,and thus complex self, complex answers and pathways.

What happened to Marlin Brando is what tends to happen to me. I tend to fall for uncomplicated happy women who don't need this complex world of crap to see through the veil. No lack of intelligence, just wired differently with different experiences and thus different paths and answers/interactions. There are as many doorways and paths as there are people.

I also find that age plays no part in clarity. The young are just as susceptible to being clear on important things as an older 'been through the mill' individual. When confronted with sleight of hand or similar complexities, then the experience shows. But not as a universal rule.. only some of the times.

I'd prefer to sit like a happy lizard on a warm rock (http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=103139693036807) (half in, half out...a lizard due to them taking in their surroundings and it's flow...in order to live and be alive, more so than the warmblooded), meditating and forgetting about incarnation and time, leaving the complexities of 'life'. In some way, we all strive for similar.

To have the ability to pull the Swiss army knife of convolution and complexity out my pocket when needed, which is as little as possible..but other than that..just live as simple as can be.

The bigger the event in time, the bigger the lump of complex timeline interactions, potentials, etc. Like ripples from a pond, it ripples outward in all directions, forward and back in time. Thus, many people can see large events, in time, before they happen. What is the case, though..is that your experiences and way of interpreting objects and shapes, will form the event in your mind. Your interpretation of the event will be yours, mine will be mine.

ulli

The collective vision of many people will not only see the event coming, but also make it happen, by buying into the vision.

Which is why it is so important to make the crowds realize that THEY have the choice:
say YES or NO to the vision.

The enemy is the mass myth maker
the secret society ...
they are the ones who create urban myths for people to pick up in their false belief it is their destiny.
Like hell it is.

The people decide, but first must become aware of the fact that they have a choice.

I agree with you ulli, that cognitive dreams are our opportunity to change something negative in the future. Its our chance to do so. A few years ago I dreamt of my daughters death in a car accident, sat up in bed and yelled 'change it' and went back to sleep. A day later my daughter recounted a very 'close call' she had had on the way to school. As she said, "we were nearly 'taken out'!!

I've had deja vu so many times that i realized i was re-experiencing encounters i've had in the dream state.

The vast majority of these are day to day type encounters but, i have had a couple re-occurring dreams about great worldly disruptions the most potent ones having taken place when i was very young (4-5 years old).

I'm not sure if they're common, but around 1998 I had a dream where I flew out to the edge of the solar system and looked back. All the planets were perfectly lined up, and it was as if I were actually there. It wasn't like any dream I'd had before. Two years or so later, the planets lined up in "reality".

So I do know they occur, and I can vouch for them.

How ironic that I was just now daydreaming about some of the "weavings" I had from last nights OBE experiences. I had actually found a "true friend" who started out in my experience as a complete stranger. I asked her "What year is this"? She did not answer me but instead took my hands and started dancing with me and told me the Giants were coming. I felt such an affinity with this woman that I experienced emotion on one of the grandest scales. I knew I was having an Out of Body Experience and I started to cry because I knew I would never see her again. I don't know if there is any correlation as far as pre-cognition in this state because I just had the experience between 12.30am and 3.00am this morning (EST) August 22nd, 2011. Perhaps someone I know in this reality is going away and I'll not see them again. I really don't know the meaning but I always pay attention to these experiences because there is meaning somewhere behind the validity of these experiences. Enjoy your dreams and explore them to the fullest.

Yeah. Sometimes you go home when you dream and see family you miss. Sometimes it can mean someone is leaving. You could try meditating on the person you saw in your dream to see if you can recognize them in this world.

Usually it isn't.

It can be someone important to us, someone we frame into that shape. Someone to help us, someone from our past, some Samaritan or some guide.

We create what we see from the library in our minds, of shape and pattern recognition. So, in effect, we 'create' the beings or persons in our minds, from our experiences and personal design.

That's amazing. Can you tell me the difference between normal dreams, and those dreams where you go somewhere and you interact with the environment and people in a vivid and conscious way? For example, I had a dream of one of my hi school friends, and she was sitting in an glass atrium. She was very say, and I had a bunch of flowers in my hand. I was going there to tell her everything would be OK. But as I got closer, I saw she was wearing dark sunglasses, and I heard her think, "I know what this is. It's a spirit that won't let go." At that my heart dropped. Suddenly there was an older woman standing outside the atrium, and I gave her the flowers and asked her to tell me old friend that everything would be OK. That dream was especially real. And I woke up worried about my friend Stephanie in this world.

(Different time zone: going to bed for now.)

TORONTO - Congratulations to ZDZISLAW MODLINSKI of Toronto, EUGENIUSZ BOREK of Scarborough and WLODZIMIERZ KONIECZNY of Brampton, Ontario who have claimed the $50 million LOTTO MAX jackpot won on the March 11, 2011 draw. They claimed the jackpot prize this morning at OLG's Prize Centre in Toronto.

The three close friends have been working together for the past 17 years at a bakery near Ossington and Queen. While they played the lottery individually, they started buying lottery tickets together since September 2010. Zdzislaw is a supervisor at the bakery; Eugeniusz and Wlodzimierz work as delivery drivers for the bakery.

Eugeniusz said that he had a premonition of the big win. "Two days before the draw, I had a dream that I was pushing a wheelbarrow full of money with two other guys. The next day, I had a dream that I was opening up a car wash and a gas station and a couple of other small businesses. When I woke up, I thought 'the money is coming, I am sure.'"

On Monday afternoon, prompted by news reports about the unclaimed jackpot prize, he checked his ticket. "I couldn't believe it," said Eugeniusz. "I was crying, I was so happy." He immediately called his friends to tell them about their lottery prize. "They didn't believe me either. But then, they checked the photocopies of our tickets and they saw that we won. We were all so happy."

As I just mentioned in another thread I had a dream concerning the conflict in Libya before it happened.

I saw aircraft. Fighter jets fly down from Scandinavian countries over Europe to head down to Tripoli Libya at same time as Ships sail down through English channel to straits of Gibraltar all the way to Libyan coasts there south of Italy.
I felt they were UK and US ships among others. This was a sort of map view of Europe somewhat zoomed in panning across.
Then I'm down in first person in Libya but reflected by surroundings of my own locale in Sweden.
Tanks and armoured personnel carriers advance into a city. They are shooting at someone that I don't see. They are quite confident it seems to be handling this all well. They are winning. I see a man sit and point from the hatch to where to fire at etc as they advance.
The place looks war torn and dry like I imagine dessert stuff usually to be.
People are retreating and civilians are running for cower. I'm looking from the sides as the tanks advance forward past me down the street. I see someone run away into and through buildings. The guy on top the tank yells and points as the tank pushes forward in those directions.
I'm now shifted location slightly down the road and now myself running with a group of people to get away from the battle. It's unsafe to be close to the tanks.
As I see some family run into a forest path I hear a call from like a radio and they are the fighter jets that flew down from around Europe. A missile is launched and hits the first tank and the tanks quickly retreat. They don't look confident at all any more. I get the image of "Terrorists" being in the Tanks as viewed from the Europeans. But it feels wrong even though the civilians are relieved to see the tanks retreat from the area. They are after all in full military uniform.
It feels like they are saving the people from the evil terrorists.
As I go into the woods with what I now perceive as family and relatives in a way to get away a Lynx is prowling the area. I feel stalked and in danger. Or rather the children are in danger. I go to confront the Lynx to protect the others and to distract it. But It seemed not hostile at all. Rather it felt hurt that I would attack it to 'protect' the others. It became angry though now instead. We flee and pass through a wooden fence onto a road. I try to block the door that was present but the whole wall is kinda full of holes so not much it will do anyway. We head off as I wake up.

Just wanted to share. I had this dream about a week or two before things escalated about Libya. There really was no indication at all about the no fly zone by the time I had the dream but a week or such later.

There were 3 of them. They each took home:

$16,666,666.66 Quite interesting, the numbers.

Mnum Mnum yum yum,

We should buy tickets together Carmody, I would scan it and send a copy to you or vice versa - the news:

"Conspiracy forum members win 50 millions by scanning the ticket they bought and sending it to each other, each one its week."

The report goes as saying that the members did not know where they were from nor each other names before winning.

Neat isn't it?
