Planet Earth is still home to places so pure they have become precious reminders of how all the world – the ancient, timeless Earth – once looked.

From the icy mountains of Denali to the aqua blue seas of Costa Rica, we witness dramas unfold among the animal inhabitants as they have since the beginning of time.

Through the expertise of world-acclaimed natural history filmmakers, we experience the magic of each Living Eden as it is captured on film for future generations.

No doubt beauty abides. But look at the trend: animals roamed freely and enjoyed life on their planet. Then men moved into the neighborhood, and the free-range began to be constricted. And then more time passed and greater grew the constraints upon animal habitats, so preserves were established. When finally even these sanctuaries for wildlife were deemed too large, we erected zoos and parceled the beasts out to live in cells far from the plain or savannah on which they were born and to which nature's wisdom had fitted them to exist. Now, comes the endgame: video animals, preserving them in digital form, so that some future parent can teach some future child living on a relatively barren planet about the once wondrous biodiversity of earth by popping in a CD and selecting play. Shameful.
