Series 4 of fringe Science has just started. If you have not seen it before, it is brilliant based on cutting edge science. This episode takes you back thru the main story line of the first 3 seeries, and if you watch, it will become obvious the ammount of material taken from the alternate community is vast, and you will reconise all the scenarios and sub plots.....Which begs the old question are we driving Sci/fi or is it clouding our mind to real science, or is it as I believe one massive soup, each driving each other ! as the old 'Science of Star Trek ' predicted.

There are many other great shows at the moment and all the storylines are stretching the immagination.Or is it drip drip disclosure coming to some sort of conclusion...

1.Fringe.. About parrellel worlds , The Watchers, Fringe science, phychedelic drugs/experiments...

2.Torchwood..current seeries about The three families, running Banks/media/pharma/ familier ?

3.The Event...Deffinately about possible disclosure

4.Stargate Universe..A group of scientists/military marooned on a 'Ancients' Star ship

5.Caprica....The story of the rise of the cylons ,cybornetic intelligence.

6.Outcasts...About a colony of humans on a alien planet ,thats not as deserted as they thought.

7.Rubicon....Axed after one seeries, they got to close to exposing TPTB. (Great Show )

8.Flash Forward...Axed also possibly disclosing to much, HAARP ???

9.Sanctuary....About Abnormals and Hollow Earth..( Amanda Tapping UMMM Double Doh! )

10.V..An Actual Alien invasion...Thanks Tiga How could I forget that ...DOH !

11.Falling skies..Spielburgs Alian invasion 'Good old boys' Alien resistance saga..

12.And even Dr.Who ..

There have always been sci /fi since TV began , but the amount and intencity of the stories seem to be pointing to poss disclosure ? On top of this all the shows on UFO channel and U Tube, and the plethera of movies, never before has there been so much of this material available. You could argue that in a market driven by a global media society, that the market is only supplying demand. But the basic sci/fi community is only so big and the media moguls are giving us a unproportionate amount of material. This could also be interpreted as they have to tell us what is going to happen, hidden among the storylines ? Which ever way you look at it we are in a golden era 'Science Fiction or Disclosure ????? Cheers Steve

ion says portalling , astral travell, parrallel worlds , wormholes , stargates are a given !!!

The Science of Star Trek...

Star Trek was imho the number one show that crossed over to some degree to mainstream, as a very young boy it filled my imagination with all possibilities
and fuelled my passion for the whole vast alternate science genre. I can remember Kirk asking Scotty to beam them up out of disaster and thinking wow if
only we all had one of them, and low and behold 40 years later virtually everyone has.It set off a whole wave of school boy/girl star travellers and coinciding
with the possible moon landings ? brought hope that anything was possible, even though we were, like today kept in a constant state of fear. Then the cold war
Now Terrorrism, Tommorrow possible false flag Alien invasion which would bring us back into a nice circle of disclosure and fresh 'Fear porn' as Richard Hoagland
says for the PTB to keep us in our cage......Hopefully if they go that route we will be able to lift the lid off their evil schemes......Cheers steve..

I love fringe! Ty for letting me know the new season has started!

You forgot to mention V 2009 in you're list. I havent seen that for a bit either (unsure if it was axed as well)

About a race of Reptillian aliens that come to planet earth under the guise of peace. They disguise themselves with a "flesh suit" so they look human. They're changing our atmosphere, and us, for hybridisation.

Edit. Just did a qucik check. V was Axed. Funny, as it was top #1 and top #3 for 1st and second seasons. They normaly continue to renew a TV show if it gets rating such as this. Strange eh?

Yes thanks Shadowstalker the lone gunman pilot is a eyeopener..

Rubicon was a great thriller about a group of intelligence annalysts who discover a web of intrigue, power, corruption that was just heating up when it was axed.

Still it gives you enough episodes to show you where they were going and the details are graphic and the end of the seeries is to do with a oil spill in a major US harbour to create a financial market scam at the same time as the BP spill, may have something to do with its axing !!!!....

oh oh! Also Eureka!

It was axed.... then it came back.

I think its aimed at kids tho..... but i still like :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka_(TV_series)

About a town somewhere in america that isnt listed anywhere. It looks like youd' be driving into either a dead end or endless road when you actualy pass thru a hologram of sorts to get in.

The town is filled with... freakily intelligent people, who are inventors, and continue to invent without the restrictions placed on normal society. The series is focused around the towns sherrif cleaning up the mess that comes with wacky experiments. Including time and dimensional travel, nanobot science.... you name it.

Then there was "Earth-Final Conflict" which was about a race of aliens called the Taelons who had very advanced technology and landed on Earth with conflicting intentions, (most of them bad). It started well and the first couple of seasons were good--then it sort of vanished to 3am, something which seems to happen to SF in Oz! The aliens were great, very alien and yet humanoid. It was an odd series, but definitely one which discusses the arrival of 'others'. I used to enjoy it, but I think I was the only one watching. Can anyone else remember it? I think (for no real reason) that it was a Canadian production. I was also a Blake's Seven fan!

A one question!
Lets say you are a director of a movie, and living on this time on earth... and want to make a big money...
Which theme for your movie would you choose in these days? ;)

Well honestly there are alot of themes but you must admit the whole conspiracy world is so intriguing and interesting and big pool of dream like ideas.
The scenario is done without eve thinking of movie theme, you just need to put it into movie and voila!

As im working alot with movie/documentary industry i get to talk with directors, so lemme share some good examples what is in some of their minds.
After talking with one director about some conspiracies he told me exactly in this words: "dunno if that is true, but you shure can make a big movie about it and it would be sold good, cause story is so intriguing!"
The other one which filmed movie for children asked me if i could make him 3D model of a reptilian for children movie.. i was like ... wtf?!?
He told me: "well yes that is actual now"

So maybe if wondering that movies are revealing "secret stuff" you could wonder completely opposite question that "secret stuff" reveals new movies?

Lets say we all know about teleport, but do anyone knows how that teleport story started?
One nice dude called Gene Roddenberry had idea about series Star Trek. But in those times he didnt have idea how to land a ship on a planet with his budget and filming capabilities, so he invented a teleport \o/
a machine that simply puts you on planet and whole spaceship landing stuff is skipped nicely and costly movie FX not needed.
And yet today we all dream/know about machine that will transport us to some place. Some would bet their life that machine exists. And we all know its name and definition. But how it came to life is completely different story from black budgets :)

So do they reveal stuff in movies, or do they share idea and we create them as we create all arround ourselves?
I place my bet on second version where we create without even being aware of it.

It's my understanding that whatever we're shown on t.v. or the movies technology wise is decades old, if not a LOT more in some cases, as in Star Wars.

I watched Blake Seven, along with the older Doctor Who and the BBC had some other sci fi show about "The Masters" which strode around Earth on giant tripod vehicles and they looks like conical mashed potatoes, if I recall correctly.

I'm a huge fan of Fringe, love the new Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Walking Dead and will probably watch Terra Nova.

Sci Fi Channel also had a show called First Wave, which was about alien invasion which was rather interesting. Not sure why it was cancelled.

Also loved Farscape, Babylon 5, X-files, STNG, Heroes, Lost and Twin Peaks. I say I don't watch much TV, but I guess I do.

Thanks Damar . some good points and your right to a large degree the Demand drives the market and as we head towards 2012 there is plenty of money to be made as has been witnessed by all
the sci/fi, disaster, conspiricy programmes that have come out and in the pipeline. Back in 2000 similar end of the world predictions with Y2K were abound maybe not to the degree we are heading
now, but still films like Independence day, and there were several seeries like Deep Space 9, Babylon 5, but nowhere near what we have now, thats part of the point of the thread.
There are more programmes on the subject than the current audiance justifies if you count radio stations, national geographic, history,Truth channell etc.....I am still wondering if they
are going overboard to make more people aware of the possibility of some sort of contact false or genuine..Or is it just chasing the buck ??

There have been lots of rumours that the top directors were in the know , when films like close encounters were made, and dislosure claims have been around for decades..David Wilcock thought it
might happen last november!! At least Spielbug admits to believing in Aliens..

Oh and don't forget Millennium. From the creators of X-files, it perfectly fit in with conspiracy theories, prophecy and the evil presence just under the surface of the "real" world.

Oh one other thought. Stargate SG1.

Dan B, always talked about the Stargates in his interviews. If someone not familiar with this esoteric subject were to hear him speak, they would think he was either lying, out of his mind, or trying to promote the TV show.

I find it ironic then, that in the show, they had an episode where a TV producer found out about what was going on and they wanted to create a TV show based on the Stargate. So, the show about Stargates, had a story where they wanted to make a show about Stargates. Isn't that kind of justifying the truth about actual Stargates?

I think I just hurt my brain.

Thanks Forevernight ....Yes Fringe is great , and Dr Who and Torchwood have both kept up their standards...If you get a chance watch Rubicon, it is only 12 episodes as it got axed. Kerry recommendedit on camelot when it first came out...It gives you a good insight into the work of the backroom boys you would not normaly see . although cut short they tied it up, and it shows you the cut throat world ofinter security services and buisness rivalries with some realistic 'HITs' to keep things under wrapps.

Cidersomerset
21st September 2011, 14:40
Thats another point all the Stargates were good ...SG9....Atlantis and now universe they are full of things that you could say are just made up and great writer immagination, or as
Andy Basiago claims DARPA has had Star Gate and Tele port technology since the 60's...

With all the episodes of every sci/fi show made so far it must be well into the several thousands so every possible scenarios have been done more than once!!!

Hi all just watched episode 1 of season 4 it is actually the 2nd programme the 1st being a compilation of the main storeyline of the 1st 3 seasons, if you have not seen it do your selfe a favour and watch you will reconise a lot of the material as comming from the alternate community. Anyway the 4 th season starts off with the two parallel worlds being bridged in a uneasy truce. the 'watchers' have changed the time line trying to fix the damage Walter did earlier, tonight episode deals with a cybonetic/human hybrids great stuff....You can find the whole three seeries on the link I'l post go to home page and follow the links......Novamov is usually a reliable down load. In the final years of the 20th Century, civilisation all over the world is rapidly collapsing, leaving war and anarchy in its place. Despite the worldwide economic depression, the USA and USSR are locked in a costly space race, squandering billions and wasting their precious resources on pointless projects. Meanwhile, the world collapse has turned Britain into a dangerous, financially and morally bankrupt failed state. In the midst of all the chaos, the now retired Professor Quatermass arrives back in London from his country retreat. He has been invited to appear on a British TV show that will celebrate the launch of a joint US-Soviet space mission. But the old scientist is horrified to find the London streets scarred by decay, lawlessness, and gang warfare - and the unprepared professor soon finds himself in great danger

VERY cool thread!! I'm always on the lookout for good TV (I usually watch it online or on DVD though....without commercials). I'd not heard of Torchwood or Falling Skies before so I'm in the process of aquiring them now (thx so much). I love Fringe (been a fan since day one)...though I wish they'd do some ET stuff on that show. Regarding Rubicon, I heard Kerry mention it once and immediately checked it out...what a great show...too bad it was cancelled. Thx again for this thread (I've now bookmarked it).

Hi Taurean just finished watching Quatermass seemed to take ages in 15min chunks. Although a bit dated now the storey line was good. I can remember watching it in 79 and the song and the
planet people were familier, but I could not remember the ending so enjoyed it all the more....It was a reminder how 'naf' TV special effects were back then..LOL

There is a strong tradition in Sci Fi to present alternative thinking, science and concepts of Social progression
going way back to the writers of great imagination and vision, to the 20th 21st century offerings Sci Fi is really the
great literature of our times at its best-and yeah can be plain corny. Did anyone ever see LEXX, a Canadian sci fi T.V series?
I caught it when I was in the U.K in 1999/2000-it is seriously bent, but amazing: http://kevin-sturton.suite101.com/lexx-cult-tv-show-overview-a153467

Hi... trojan I love sci/fi hence this thread and the question is sci/fi driving science ie planting the ideas in scientists head to bring ideas to reality....after all most inventions had to be thought up from somewhere apart from the occassional by product of an accident ( or aquired from ET )...........Or is it science inspiring the immaginatio of the writers ? or is it some of both !!

Anyway I have not seen many zombie films, not my scene though I did like Shaun of the dead.....
