Forget the FDA, they're corrupt. Every company SHOULD label their products anyway. It is the right thing to do....

A valid point of view Maia. Real change will come from the ground up, and is happening already. ...yet this could be helpful and it doesn't take a lot of effort.

Hundreds Rally in Washington to Demand GM Labeling

Hundreds of people from around the United States rallied in front of the White House on Sunday, urging the government to require compulsory labeling of food made from genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

The United States is the world's largest commercial grower of GMO crops, and more than 70 percent of its processed food contain genetically engineered or biotech ingredients.

Itís Official: Glyphosate used on GM Crops Found in US Rivers, Rainfall

Monitoring by the US Geological Survey (USGS) has revealed that glyphosate and its breakdown product Aminomethylphosphonic acid (known as AMPA) are frequently found in rainfall and rivers in the Mississippi Basin, where most GM crops tolerant to glyphosate are grown.

Monsanto has repeatedly denied that glyphosate washes off fields in significant amounts, claiming the herbicide binds to soil particles and therefore cannot be leached.

The USGS results confirm warnings from other countries that glyphosate is more mobile in some soils than the biotech corporation is prepared to admit.

The highest median level of glyphosate detected was 5.7μg/litre. This level would not be allowed to enter public supply untreated under the EU Drinking Water Directive.

Monsanto Corn Falls to Illinois Bugs as Investigation Widens (Bloomberg)

Monsanto Co. (MON)ís insect-killing corn is toppling over in northwestern Illinois fields, a sign that rootworms outside of Iowa may have developed resistance to the genetically modified crop, according to one scientist.

Monsanto dropped $3.13, or 4.5 percent, to $65.80 as of 4:15 p.m. in New York Stock Exchange composite trading. The shares have fallen 5.5 percent this year.
