Have just been sent this email:

The Law Of The Wild says kill ONLY when you are hungry

Photographer Michel Denis-Huot, who captured these amazing pictures on safari in Kenya's Masai Mara in October last year,
Said he was astounded by what he saw:

"These three brothers (cheetahs) have been living together since they left their mother at about 18 months old,' he said.
'On the morning we saw them, they seemed not to be hungry, walking quickly but stopping sometimes to play together.
'At one point, they met a group of impala who ran away. But one youngster was not quick enough and the brothers caught it easily'."

These extraordinary scenes followed.

And then they just walked away without hurting him..........

Life is short... Forgive quickly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably...and never regret anything that made you smile

They are three brothers who were raised by humans and only recently put back into the wild when this sequence was captured. They ran the gazelle? down and then just put a paw on the head before exchanging pleasantries. It is absolutely heart warming.

We can ALWAYS learn a lot from our beautiful cousins, if only humans could see this all the time! We are so absorbed by how self important we are as a race that we forget that all of our achievements are owed to the animals and nature around us.. and yet we carry on pillaging, destroying, abusing them to our hearts content.

I learn unconditional love from my labrador everyday.
I learn patience and mastery in architecture from the spiders who weave their webs no matter the weather.
I learn to appreciate the art of song from the birds/my own cockatiel that chirp every morning.
I learn to admire the beauty of true art when I gaze at the flowers that adorn my garden.

Thank you so so much for the thread simgaz! On 11.11.11.. I could not be more thankful for these beautiful images.

Wow, this is amazing. I can just imagine this small one going back to the awestruck herd.

Well, most of the time cats play with their food before killing it. Only, this time, something happened that made them leave without completing the ritual. It´s beautiful anyway! Thanks! Have a nice 111111 every one! :)

((((((( (blufire sighs )))))))))

Please Please Please stop humanizing or anthropomorphizing animals.

This is NOT a beautiful heart warming event. But it is a perfectly normal behavior for wild animals

The baby Impala is absolutely paralyzed with terror. I have been around and handled animals all my life. Look at its eyes, tail is down and tucked and most of all its little mouth is open because it is panting. . . . when animals are severely stressed and afraid they “pant”.

I looked into the complete story. The cheetah brothers earlier in the morning had already killed and were full and tired from the earlier hunt.

They were playing with this little baby . . . . not loving it.
