Try to find the person out of place in this photo...

Enlarged photo here ..http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_VSQaMHhvm20/SeJcy-yRNII/AAAAAAAABIU/nIiN_MGMqc0/s1600-h/Hipster+1940.jpg

Notice the guy wearing sun glasses, a T-shirt with a logo and what looks to be a very small camera for that era. Seems to be out of place to me. Mabey a hoax, maybe just a young rebel but interesting photo none the less.

This was a photo taken of the "Reopening of the South Fork Bridge after flood in Nov. 1940.
South Fork Bridge, Gold Bridge, B.C. Canada"

Would be interesting to see if the logo on the tshirt could be identified, and if that gave a clue as to what time that logo was used.

very interesting pic, he looks well out of place....thank you for it.
im facinated by the idea of time travel...i believe its completely doable and has been done for yrs.

this is an interesting small clip of a chap who has time travelled and met his future self....im sure many of u have seen this b4 and the skeptics out there have debunked this a multiple of times but the notion of it never fails to capture my imagination and excitement.

That clearly is not a t-shirt, its a sweater or pullover (he wears something underneath too)
regarding the sunglasses, those were fashionable in those days,

look here (http://www.klasik.org/sunglasses/wpw/p1/p1.html)

and now to the camera: look at a 1924 Leica:

I think it is a fake (ok- make that 'constructed') as the shadow that his ear makes on his face- does not match with the sun placement/direction/position on the rest of the people in the pic...

mY THOUGHTS EXACTLY the sun is directly behind the man wearing the glass`s the others all have the sun shining directly on the side of their faces so you can see that its a fake

I have looked at this picture in much detail in photoshop, and it does not seem to be altered. His sunglasses are the old fashioned "goggle" type, that keeps the sun from coming in from the sides.

He seems to have money, the camera is from the 50's, and the sweatshirt he is wearing seems to be a "logo" mark of some kind, such as McMaster Universtity or such.

My father has a pair of the goggle sunglasses, he used them when he played College football in the early 50's, and I guess they were the "in" must haves if you had a "roadster" to putt around in. :car:

This guy just seems to be a "dandy" of that time period.

27th March 2010, 15:25
Taking another look at this picture i have a feeling Rosie could be right, the glasses definitely are wrap around and yes could be of that era, also look at the hair whilst looking modern the hairline at the back of the neck has been cut either very short or shaven which they did in those days also, i didn't see the camera first time round now i do and yes again it looks of this time. The only thing i am not sure of his his jumper what is that made of? is it knitted? made from another material? and is that a hood? not sure if they would have had hoods on their clothes then, not sure He really does stand out as a modern figure doesn't he, but then so did Elvis, when he was in his black leather gear there was just no one else like him! Hm! i have seen a totally different picture looking again.

This is an old one but a good one I remember reading this at least 10 years ago......A time traveller squashes an ancient trilobite?..

'Many people may have heard of 'prehistoric culture,' also known as 'prehistoric civilization.' We will talk about prehistoric civilization. ......Archaeologists around the world have discovered an organism called trilobite that existed between 600 and 260 million years ago. This kind of organism disappeared 260 million years ago. An American scientist has discovered a trilobite fossil with a human footprint on it; the footprint was clearly printed on the fossil by a person in shoes. Isn't this mocking historians? According to Darwin's theory of evolution, how could there be human beings 260 million years ago?' ---'Zhuan Falun' by Mr. Li Hongzhi

What may be the oldest fossil footprint yet found was discovered in June 1968 by William J. Meister, an amateur fossil collector. If the print is what it appears to be-the impression of a sandaled shoe crushing a trilobite-it would have been made 300 to 600 million years ago and would be sufficient either to overturn all conventionally accepted ideas of human and geological evolution or to prove that a shoe-wearing biped from another world had once visited the planet.

This is by far the most compelling story I've seen so far. Found it a few years back, but it struck me as quite sincere.

Could be a fake of course, hard to know for certain unless you were there. But his story is a little different since he kinda just stumbled upon this on the most unlikely of places. :)

As for the photo, I guess people have stated already that there is something wrong with the shadow on that man...can't really call that one legit in my eyes. :P

As a young boy, maybe 12, in the "Lüneburger Heide" visiting friends of my parents, I was walking on their property when suddenly I had the funniest feeling. I "KNEW" that time went backwards, or otherwise changed direction, for a small moment, a few seconds, then forward again. I have no clue how that happened, and it never happened again.
I can still today remember the feeling - it was really super-strange.

Wahlstedt to Minden to Leegebruch (north Berlin)describes the triangle of three 'Earth energy grid' lines that run through Germany (there are more lines). If the area you walked in was close to one of those lines, then you may have felt it. I know I do. The grid line also runs through North-west Hamburg. The energies in North West Hamburg must be fun to play with. Ahhh... to live on a grid line. 'tis a dream of mine. Flitting about in spiritual form is considerably easier on grid lines.

In the interest of putting the original topic to rest (thread started in March btw) Here is a breakdown:
The "Time Traveler"
http://forgetomori.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/viajantes.jpg

despite looking very modern the man’s outfit and even glasses and camera could be found in the 1940s. Below, similar sunglasses used by actress Barbara Stanwyck on the movie “Double Indemnity” (1944):
http://forgetomori.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/annexstanwyckbarbaradoubleindemnity_02.jpg

The outfit could also be found 70 years ago. Being used as we are to our contemporary fashion, we look at the man and assume he’s wearing a stamped T-shirt, something that would be indeed out of place (or time). But if you look carefully, you can see that he’s actually wearing (or could as well be wearing) a sweatshirt. And sweatshirts with bordered emblems were not uncommon in the 1940s:
http://www.ballyhoovintage.com/miva/images/11189.jpg
The sweater he also uses seems to be hand knitted, with buttons on the front. Something that was definitely available at the time, if he had some kind grandma perhaps.

Finally, despite some comments about the camera lens being too big for the time, too compact, it looks like a Kodak Folding Pocket model, available since the beginning of the 20th century.
