SPASIBA CdnSirian!!

Just what the doctor ordered,...to raise ones spirits.

Excellent.

We should all take a leaf from the Ruskies, who show us all how to let go & enjoy ourselves.

Dosvidania!

I love these too and hadn't seen the Russian one before. I think we find them so moving because something like this involves community and everyone looks so happy - even the most dour passersby start to smile.

These are fun, but I wish they would come up with a new term for them. A choreographed public performance is not a flashmob. The whole point of a flashmob was that it wasn't planned ahead of time. Very little warning and no idea who will show up.That's why it is called a "flash" mob. Like we used to have people show up at Macy's in their pajamas at a certain time. Word would spread by word of mouth on the internet for an hour and then it would happen. It was an art form. What we see now being called flashmobs are just unannounced public performances.

This is true. I would love to see a bunch of people show up in Macy's in their PJ's! :cheer2:

But, I will take what I can get for seeing humans express joy and cheer, even if choreographed. :)

Perfect! That made my day. :-)

Niobe, I'm just like you, the sheer joy of this moves me to actual tears (as does a lot of music, and is why I was never able to sing. ..always end up in tears..LOL)

No, it's not weird, Niobe. Those are tears of joy and hope for humanity... :grouphug:

No, not weird at all. Just makes you more heart-lovely. "We the People of the World" thank you for your heart-rhythm assistance!

BUMPING..

For those who have not yet had a 'chance to dance'!!!!!

Very contagious, 'Swing Dance'- good way to keep warm in a cold Moscow!

Me too, and only for the last year.
I think we are able to feel in our heart the joy and love of the dancers.
Maybe our heart chakra is opened. I hope it does.

This flashmob made me look for Israeli flashmob as well.
I found allot, and then I tried to feel the difference. When I cry and when I do not.
So I figured it out.
1. The number of dancers does make a difference
2. The location and celebration also make a difference.

Here is the best I felt from Israel, in big contrast to the Moscow event.
Commercial beach party made by Israeli lottery company.
Hope you can feel it. With tears as well.

Here is another one from Israel, that has almost no energy. The inauguration of a new train station, event for and with the politicians (try to identify them - hint: security) .

The best flash mobs are those with the crowed participating.

How many ABBA songs did that video sample, Pathwalker? XD

Excellent video though :D

I loved that bit about 4/5s of the way through when that old guy was dancing XD Looked like he could barely move, but he was moving anyway :D
