Otto is dead wrong on some things like the Civil War and States Rights. State Rights had an inference of right to own slaves, which was Constitutional under the US Constitution. If one examines the speeches within the separate states that seceded, there's no shortage of talk about slavery. Furthermore, the Confederate Constitution was very similar to the original except that it added a clause about slavery. It was after the war that the Lost Cause myth arose thanks to Jubal Early. Part of the myth is that the war was over states rights and not slavery.

He's also dead wrong about Booth being a poor actor. He was an accomplished actor and was famous in his days. Second, Booth never planned to kill Lincoln until Lincoln gave a speech at the White House that said that the "Negro" should have the right to vote. Booth lost it and said that it would be the last speech Lincoln ever made.

I think there were a few other things, but they were minor.
