Nice one Fred...! Thanks for that...

Not sure if we're supposed to be inspired or terrified?

For some the term 'wisened' comes to mind, for other's, 'wasted' and a few 'soul contract expiring...'

What a good thing their music is timeless...

See if you can get a Martin Fred.
Mind you Ovation is ok.
Giving you a standing ovation for the humor etc.
By the way I watched the Oxford Murders which you recommended, very clever and well acted.
The punch line at the end took my breath away.
Butterfly has a lot to answer for.
Lol

My work buddy and I were talking about this today. I told him the average age of the Rolling Stones was something like 103. My favorite old rocker is Robert Plant. His work in the last few years is amazing. The collaboration with bluegrass singer Allison Krauss was nothing short of astonishing! He has a new CD coming out this month that has the sound created by TBone Burnett and Krauss. Plays with some of the same musicians. Great sonics and different, unique sound.

My favorite of all time, John Mellencamp, has a new one out this month. Great song writing and wonderful sound.

I read somewhere that one or more of the members of Pink Floyd are interested in UFOlogy and Disclosure.

My eyes? Oh!
I'm a "RayBan walk-in".

Chris;
The Ovation crack was aimed at Kula's questionable taste in Guitars ;)

Martin sounds good, though. But in 1973 the closest I could come to a Martin was this (http://fredsitelive.com/personal/MyGuitar.jpg). Yes, a Martin copy, but it still has the nicest action of any acoustic I've ever played. Also it has an incredibly wide neck, which helps Fred's Fat Fingers from gettin' tangled up in them wires. :)

Then, as I found myself facing an acute middle age crisis I weakened and bought this (http://fredsitelive.com/personal/myFender.jpg). Vanity run amok, I fear, and I can sure be a mok when the time is right.
Fred

Yeah, The Oxford Murders was a pretty good story.

Tuza;
Supposedly the movie was just released last Friday.
I caught it last Wednesday because I have HDNet, a cable channel that, first Wednesday of every month, does a sneak preview of a soon-to-be-released movie.
Should be in theaters now or... I dunno.

If you go back and look at the pictures on his first solo album (with beard) it's kinda spooky.

Unfortunately, I wasn't clever enough to take advantage of it when I was single.
In fact, I didn't even notice it myself until I started to look more like "Charlie Daniels meets Santa Claus" (see pic on right). ;)

Fred

Illuminate;
I'll see you in my nightmares ;)

La la la la la the lovely Linda....

*** Kula stands up and claps ***

Ain't nothin wrong with ovations... best acoustic I ever owned...and this one was a gift, which makes it even more special... still, each to their own, or we wouldn't have a forum, eh?

Got a twelve string too, but takes too long to tune...and , well, I only know a few songs that really sound good on it... Tambourine Man... Hotel California...

Illuminate... that's funny... and if you can do that with Fred's head... how can we trust ANY of the pictures out there ??

Nothing wrong with Ovations, I owned one for many years, had to sell it fund my new found 'electric' desires which proved to be a good move. I still play acoustic and am a proud owner of a Tommy Emmanuel sig series Maton, a great piece of Ozzie craftmanship...not be confused with Martin.

Fred McCartney...great work there Illuminate.:cool:
