Now is the time for action!
True, Avalon is the forum which explores hidden things but did you notice that too many time we spend on looking what darkness is doing?

Darkness is ever hardworking force and that's OK-for them.
But let us all ,whoever has something beautiful to share or create , let us do so!

Why ?
Because the Source of Life is beautiful and we have to NEVER EVER forget about it!

Be free to add anything here that is a - or - the beauty.
A word of comfort, a poem, painting, music, experience or whatever you think can add more beauty to the quantum field of mutual experience.

It's easy to sing rhyme and words
and beautiful song is lighting the eye!
But to take gentle words of the heart
And Be Love is sheer divine!

Oh children of humanity, why have you corrupted tender Love, who gazes far into my depths and flows forth in works abounding? Because She flows within me, from Her in turn flow the living waters. She resembles a budding branch, for, as a virgin's embraces are most tender because of her integrity, even so Love's embraces are more tender than those of any other. But now She mourns, because audacious men tear her to pieces with their evil grumbling ... Why do they take on themselves the misery of alienation and exile, tearing themselves away... She is always ready... Yet they separate themselves from the Bride, whence they are darkened and shadowed by clouds as if they had ruptured heaven.

O FLEETING SHADOW!

Pass beyond the baser stages of doubt and rise to the exalted heights of certainty.
Open the eye of truth, that thou mayest behold the veilless beauty and exclaim:
Hallowed be the Lord, the most excellent of all creators!

Pic taken by me.

I recently travelled through the Komodo region of islands in Indonesia (returned last Friday), doing up to four dives a day. The most impressive was at a place called 'Manta Alley' where manta rays come to visit the cleaning stations. We could see them from the dinghy even before we hopped in, their fin tips even breaking the surface in places.

Under the surface, we dropped to about twenty metres, then watched as manta ray after manta ray effortlessly glided past, sometimes mere feet away. for such a large creature, they are so graceful in the water, able to glide, pirhouette, and even do somersaults if needed.

None of us returned to the surface untouched by the presence of these gentle giants.

A man was walking by the big walking street to finish up something and to buy new shoes. Close by there was an old beggar ,quite unusual since in that area there are only gypsies beggars. This was an old white man. A man wanted to give some change to beggar after he buys the shoes.
Upon exiting the store man left on another way but something called him inside to return to this beggar as he promised previously in his thoughts.

He arrived and sat down with the beggar and talked with him with dignity.
Old beggar opened up and followed suit with some personal stories.
Finally a man lifts up ,bless this old beggar and ask him :" Do you need something?"-all the while carrying the money for him in his other hand.

Beggar`s reply was a revelation:"You already gave me sir."

And this man felt angels walking around and talking with him of how it is to work angel`s shift.
He left with heart full of joy and blessing with thoughts- you always work the angel`s shift.
Just realize this.

THE STORY
As I existed in a constellation of stars, new star lights and stars turning dark,
I listened to stories of brave souls in worlds and times.
I listened to faery tales with maidens and knights, the witch and faery
that put a spells on them.
I listened to desert tales of princesses, genies, and Sindbad the sailor
with his many brave adventures.
I listened to stories of sleeping beauties, and a princes battling dragons.
I listened to Buck Rogers from the 21st Century with alien conflicts, a
man trying to save the earth.
I said to the source of the stories, Wow how exciting! What wonderful stories!
How does it end? What is it like?
Then, I ended up on earth, not too long ago.
I am that maiden or knight with spells over me.
I am in a desert with magic around me.
A sailor from a place to witness many adventures.
I am asleep with dragons around me.
I am a man or woman trying to save the earth.
I look up at the stars that look different now, I think how does it end?
Then I hear, "it ends how you react to your story, you are the story and
you are brave. Always remember where you came from, from within the stars.
You are me experiencing the story to be told about a reason we exist at all."
I say, "I'm afraid."
"You are afraid, because you are reflecting events and how you choose to exist.
Look at a parent would give their life for a child, how men and women feel
after they choose to love each other, how people help each other in trouble,
without that fear, you would not have experienced it."
"How does it end?" I wonder.
Here I am wanting the story to be over. I relish moments of love and
beauty. I exist in a state of being and experiencing things around me."
"Wait and see..."

Such a beautiful idea for a thread!

Thank you Beren, and everyone here. Thank you Marsila for the wonderful story about the sculptors who helped revive the spirit of the Argentinian forest. So beautiful. And thank you Jules, for "the stories of brave souls."

There are so many ways I find beauty uplifting to the spirit, so I spent some time diving into my picture software with other people's pics and quotes, joyfully flinging favourites out of the dusty trunk of my memory ;)

Beauty...

I love it when elemental forces come together in a binding alchemy. Like something fluid effecting something solid. As here. An echo of their embrace captured in the curving surfaces of Antelope Canyon, Utah.

http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj550/DoodlemakerUK/AntelopeCanyonCollection.jpg

Or when water in the sky reflects in the waters of the earth, ringing clear like a crystal. A transcendental union. As above, so below, at Salar de Uyuni in South West Bolivia.

http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj550/DoodlemakerUK/SalarUyuniBolivia.jpg

Then there's the Aurora Borealis. Caused, they say, by the collision of charged energetic particles with atoms in the thermosphere. As if nature has breathed light in a blaze of colours to awaken the gaze of the darkness.

http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj550/DoodlemakerUK/AuroraBorealisPics2.jpg

These beautiful pictures are of Tippi, a little girl who was born in Africa and grew up in the wild amidst the animals. You can see her playfully mingling with cheetahs and snakes, and wandering aboard the elephants, in the film Le Monde selon Tippi: http://youtu.be/y8zZ_NGRoJo It's in French, but the imagery and the sound of the voices really convey the story. Here she is, showing no separation between her and the world she loves, seeming blissfully at one with nature and all its creatures.

http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj550/DoodlemakerUK/TippiCollage.jpg

For me there has always been music. It's beautiful to me how something so invisible, so non-material, can reach into the heart, mind and body and transform our cells, our hopes, our journeys, the very moment in which we live. To me this Piece by Yanni, entitled Prelude, is transporting. The mastery and feeling of the musicians, and the landscape of the composition: passion and tender poise emerging from a quiet mist...
http://youtu.be/4UlujyBwU5I
And recently I found this acoustic version of the Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel.
Sparse and poignant... http://youtu.be/4zLfCnGVeL4

Renee Brodie said some beautiful things about sound. This passage really resonates with me:

http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj550/DoodlemakerUK/ReneeBrodieonSound.jpg

Sometimes when I think of love between 2 people, no matter the nature of the relationship, I think of it like a song, in the way a song is a vibration. The kind of song I know I've found tricky to harmonise in perfect tune at times (scratches head and mumbles to self...) So I find beauty in philosophy that calms both my spirit and the jostling of my fettered old mind. In his work The Prophet, Kahlil Girbran wrote of love. And I often remember these lines, which have a timeless wisdom:

http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj550/DoodlemakerUK/TwinFlamesGibranQuote.jpg

Beauty. I see it and I feel it in so many places. Often the shadowy and difficult places. Like when I've seen photos of an Israeli, standing between a Palestinian and the point of a gun. And gentle gestures, like when one of them told me how she was at a tourist attraction and she could see people were avoiding buying water from the Palestinian's stall. So she went over and bought a bottle and began to talk with him. Then, gradually, others who'd been hesitant followed her example. Or like the day when I turned away, smiling, from my students (2 and 3 years old) just so I could gather myself because inside I was deeply saddened by a loss in my life - a little boy who'd had his back turned and couldn't see me, got up from his chair, walked over and placed his hand on my arm. He looked at me with the eyes of an old soul as if to say he could feel my sadness and he knew it would pass. Then he walked back to his table to continue what he'd been doing. I'll never forget the look in his eye. He uplifted my spirit in the most profound way. I never expected it. In some very small bodies there are some old souls among us.

Often, when I look at and think of all these things, and remember just how much beauty there is, in our worlds and across the globe, it reminds me of the words of Mary Oliver:

http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj550/DoodlemakerUK/MaryOliveronLife.jpg

Thanks for giving me a place to share some of my musings Beren. Mary's quote has me pondering my own little ship and where to steer it, so as to see more beauty, both in the places I've already looked, and the ones that I've yet to discover...

Aaaah, thank you Beren. That was a wonderful choice; truly I enjoyed it!
I was lucky enough to see Paco play some years ago. The Spanish blood in the crowd were unstoppable, rising and falling in waves, sometimes jumping to their feet with applause and calling out his name to exclaim their passion for the music. Amazing atmosphere that night. I remember, his musicians were seated either side of him and altogether they formed a crescent moon shape along the stage. At one point during the concert my eyes were drawn to this one man who was sitting still, almost deathly still, with no instrument. It was as is if his energy had drawn my eye. But he wasn't moving, not even a flicker. I couldn't work out why he had, so inexplicably, summoned our gaze. Then suddenly, as if rising from a deep, deep well, he leapt into the centre of the stage and began a powerful flamenco dance. He had an austere command of his body and radiated light.

Beautiful.

I've always felt Flamenco speaks to us of transformation.

I love this passage by Ben Okri, author of The Famished Road. It's taken from his book Birds of Heaven:

Yup the Being that is behind the life on Earth (which is us in a sense - on larger level), is absolutely unmatched in its ability to portray Beauty -- a concept that is an abstract to the rational mind - makes no sense, cannot be measured - yet is unmistakably an influence on the consciousness mind.

It doesn't make sense, unless one considers the distinction between the rational mind and the higher mind.

Awesome pictures everyone - thank you for sharing - I felt it vibrationally! ;)

I agree, Beren, that, all too often, we tend to focus on the negative rather than the positive. Although Peace, Unity, Love, and Light is my everyday mantra, I still have a job to do to leave breadcrumbs for those who are ready for their mega-awakenings (as I'm sure almost all, if NOT all, of you here on Avalon are here to do!). My music is the way that I help raise awareness of what's going on in the Universe, but also of how Divine and POWERFUL we are! "The only limits are the ones created by you and I . . ." ;) <3

I knew a girl that shines around when is happy and she was happy when ,when everything was just as God made it.
Perfect in its natural form.
She felt that. She was feeling that.
She radiated that emotion upon all and everyone was touched though knowing not why and who...

I don`t know where she is now but I can feel her light and thus I know that she is here ... in my heart...

I would break the silence
to hear my self crying,
to twirl the endless changes
to assure my will upon the weak...

All in order to feel...

But to feel means to live
to experience all that is
through and above
below and more!

Thy will be done!
Were the words...
And may it be so
for who else has the Will?

If it isn`t in utmost of your depths
it doesn`t exist!
Oh glorious day that I live,
your Love - your Will.

For will of yours is to Be!
To breathe,to feel...
to engage and not stand still
in all the beauty that was or will ...
...Be...

I am born in you and -
you are through me.
And when I say yes
it means your will.

For you are me
and I am you.
Forever now
Love is our truth.

Somewhere...

Her words that were moving me
"hush the wind and feel the breeze"
was all that she said to me...

Somewhere...

I`d faint at her open heart
and she`d be all about me...
smiling endlessly
loving, caressing me...

And would wonder
beneath the stars all alone
why me?
Why she threaded upon this rolling stone?

I swear she could hear
all my thoughts far and near

Another rose will tell you another story,
of look but do not touch if it's the hurt you want to do.
Touch but do not spoil the beauty before you.

Thorns and thistles all around you
hiding the beauty underneath you.

Desire and thought
which moves the soul
makes the world dance or cry...

Hence the thorns
on the beautiful side
of the evening rose...
and the morning one
free of worry and a bit shy...
