View Full Version : Who is "Peter the Roman"??? (St.Malachy Prophecy)

The current Pope Benedict XVI , Just announced that he thinks Jesus was born some years earlier than previously thought. Anyway I was doing some research the other day
on the St.Malachy Prophecy. If your not familiar with the prophecy of St.Malachy here is
a few details.

The prophecy was first published in 1595 by Arnold de Wyon, a Benedictine historian, as part of his book Lignum Vitæ. Wyon attributed the list to Saint Malachy , the 12th‑century bishop of Armagh in Ireland . According to the traditional account, in 1139, Malachy was summoned to Rome by Pope Innocent II . While in Rome, Malachy purportedly experienced a vision of future popes, which he recorded as a sequence of cryptic phrases. This manuscript was then deposited in the Roman Archive, and thereafter forgotten about until its rediscovery in 1590.

Papal EmblemThe Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy , is a list of 112 short phrases in Latin . They purport to describe each of the Roman Catholic popes (along with a few anti-popes ), beginning with Pope Celestine II (elected in 1143) and concluding with the successor of current pope Benedict XVI , a pope described in the prophecy as "Peter the Roman", whose pontificate will end in the destruction of the city of Rome .

Pope Benedict is currently 85 years old and his health is not good. The Cardinals will choose a new Pope soon. The front runner to be the next pope is this man
Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson.
Cardinal Turkson has said that "if God would wish to see a black man also as pope, thanks be to God". The Catholic Church chronicler Rocco Palmo called Turkson the lone Scripture scholar in the Pope's "Senate" and believes that his status as a potential "papabile " has been elevated due to his appointment as spokesman for Second Synod for Africa in 2009.

In response to the global economic crisis started in 2008, Cardinal Turkson together with bishop Mario Toso elaborated a proposal to reform the international financial system by creating a Global Public Authority and a Global Bank that consider the interest of all developing countries. The document of 40 pages was officially presented in October 2011 and criticizes the actual structure of International Monetary Fund and other institutions.

This guy may be from Africa but his name is Peter and he sounds like a Globalist to me.
Could Turkson be "Peter the Roman"? I Know all Popes change thier name when they become Pope But what if he Being the 112th Pope decides to keep his name. Just saying.

When i first heard about the pope resigning, the
prediction of the next pope to be elected would
be a black man, was the first thought that i had.

I'm not one to believe in predictions but after what
jagman posted, maybe i should reconsider the
prophecy.

I'm curious about something. The word pascet in the phrase above is alternately translated as "nourish" or "feed." You see it one way in some of the translations and the other in others. I can see both a sinister (comes from the word for "left" in Latin) and a benevolent interpretation if the word "feed" is intended. The sheep could be fed meaning to care for them...or FED (meaning to prepare a nice mint jelly to go with them) in a time of tribulation.

"On this order, the man who in 2002 correctly predicted that the pope succeeding John Paul II would be named Benedict XVI, Ronald L. Conte Jr. believes the next pope will be Cardinal Francis Arinze and that he will take the name Pius XIII. This name (Pius) is associated historically with popes who emphasized authoritative doctrine during their pontificates. Cardinal Arinze fits this description, and Conte interprets this qualification as best fulfilling "Peter the Roman" as a pope who "will reaffirm the authority of the Roman Pontiff over the Church; this authority is based on his place as Successor of Peter" and "will emphasize the supremacy of the Roman Catholic faith and the Roman Catholic Church above all other religions and denominations, and it's authority over all Christians and all peoples of the world." To this, Conte adds, "During the reign of Pope Peter the Roman, the great apostasy begins" and this pope will mark "the first part of the tribulation during our generation." Conte envisions this apocalypse beginning in 2012 when, as he sees it, Benedict suddenly dies or steps down and is replaced by Petrus Romanus. This followed by a series of cascading events resulting in World War III, which is triggered when Iranian-backed terrorists explode a nuclear bomb in New York City. The great tribulation begins, and by July 2013, Rome is destroyed when it is struck by a nuclear missile."

Which city has 7 hills ? Istanbul ,Turkey?

The city of 7 hills is Rome.

This excerpt from a series of articles written in January 2012:

As the legend goes, Malachy experienced what is today considered a famous vision commonly called “The Prophecy of the Popes.” The prophecy is a list of Latin verses predicting each of the Roman Catholic popes from Pope Celestine II to the final pope, “Peter the Roman,” whose reign would end in the destruction of Rome. According to this ancient prophecy, the very next pope (following Benedict XVI) will be the final pontiff, Petrus Romanus or Peter the Roman.

The final segment of the prophecy reads:

In persecutione extrema S. R. E. sedebit Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oves in multis tribulationibus: quibus transactis civitas septicollis deruetur et judex tremendus judicabit populum. Finis.[xii]

Which is rendered:

In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations; when they are over, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the terrible or fearsome Judge will judge his people. The End.[xiii]

Is the prophecy a forgery from the sixteenth century, and if so, why is it more often than not accurate in its predictions?

Hi again! I'm really shocked that more people haven't responded or read this thread as I think this is the most cutting-edge material on avalon at the moment! As we are seeing history unfold before us. The St Malachy Prophecy is ending with its last Pope being elected next month - and imagine if he somehow has the name Peter, or somehow fulfills it!

I'm very disappointed that threads on "salacious" topics like footage of a UFO or an ET-autopsy get hundreds of responses, thank-you's, etc. while they are almost always de-bunked at some later date. I really think that TPTB are distracting "awake" people with this stuff, while slowly enslaving everyone with things like an economic collapse and a cashless society.

In his last tv interview, he mentions there are others better off but I will be ready. When reversed got some interesting results. "here in him deliverer of Satan," "There he is the myth, "yes the myth" all in that short segment. I just thought it was weird. You can try it out yourself and see.

2: the outcome of a complex sequence of events.

As this interview indicates, this may be the final live interview ever...the milestones have been passed, the clocks are rolling, and a mission begins the count down.

Because "ever" is indefinable, and our time streams are in flux, we choose to term this show the dénouement...for reasons that can be easily understood. Some of the audience wanted more details. My money is still on Cardinal Peter Turkson. He is a globalist and he would be the first black pope! Fits in nicely with the prophecy.

There are really only 3 possibilities out of 70. The number to the right is the bookmaker's odds.

1. Peter Turkson 4.3 ---It is rumoured that his hometown folks call him "Peter the Roman"

2. Bertone 7 ---From Romano =Romanus in Italian. (odds down from 15 on 11/2)

3. Arinze 33 ---Included because of a previous post by Aldawulf in this thread.

The bookmakers odds normally give the best indication of the probabilities.

Update:
Turkson is at 4.5 and Bertone at 5. Looks like the thousand year old tips is influencing the betting.:)

Warning 'personal opinion'
On the real reason for the resignation: Just like the Zionists they want to bring on armageddon, according to their own agenda. They need this, its at the core of their twisted ideal and has been for thousands of years. The next pope will be elected just as a perfect 'fit' to the St Malachi prophecy which in turn was likely to be a part of the agenda so they could time the events. Engineered.

They might get an apocalyptic surprise, the apocalypse or unveiling/revealing (as per revelation) will go ahead without their input but it might be a rough ride for us as well. Like last orders, time is running out for them and they are trying to hurry it along. They are drunk, intoxicated with power and malignant hubris

Duncan sees it as an acceleration of the process started eons ago.

What that means, to me, is that if "they" got him to resign to accelerate the process, then, everything else is ready to roll on according to script. That is, everything is in place for the rest of the scenario to unfold without a kink.

In other words, it's time to hide the fans so that no flying poop can hit them...

Personally I think some things can not be forced, that they must unfold at there own time so to speak. If they are trying to "force" these prophecies to unfold I feel they may make mistakes or cause other certain things to happen that were not quite planned on or foreseen.

These are just my thoughts.....

Either way I think we will see some major things happen over the next couple of weeks that'll get the ball rolling a bit faster....

It's something that people like us should look forward to, for it may be the only thing left which can serve to unseat these bastards once and for all. The Three Popes prediction of Garabandal (http://ronconte.wordpress.com/2011/10/22/the-three-popes-prediction-of-garabandal/)

Posted on 22 October 2011 (http://ronconte.wordpress.com/2011/10/22/the-three-popes-prediction-of-garabandal/)by Ron Conte (http://ronconte.wordpress.com/author/ronconte/)
One of the visionaries of Garabandal, named Conchita, has made an often repeated, and almost as often misstated, prediction — that there would be three more Popes and then … something. It is not clear, at first glance, what would happen after the reigns of three Popes. However, Conchita did explicitly say that it was not the end of the world.

On 3 June 1963 – the day of the passing of Pope John XXIII – after learning that the village bells were tolling for the pope, Conchita made a startling remark to her mother Aniceta: “For sure…now there remain no more than three [popes]!”

Naturally, Aniceta was shocked, and asked if this meant the end of the world was approaching (?Quiere decir que viene ya el fin del mundo?). Conchita’s response was that the Virgin did not say “the end of the world”, but rather “the end of the times”.

Specifically, the Virgin mentioned that there would be two more popes after the then-current pontiff (Paul VI, 1963-1978), and then the end of the times.
(Source (http://www.ourlady.ca/info/THE_THREE_POPES_AND_GARAB.htm))
So the event that occurs after the reigns of three popes is apparently the beginning of the end times, that is to say, the beginning of the tribulation.
My understanding is that the three popes are:

1. Pope Paul VI
2. Pope John Paul I
3. Pope John Paul II

During the reign of Pope John Paul II, we might have interpreted the prediction in one of two ways: (1) either that the end times begin during the reign of the third Pope (John Paul II), or (2) the end times begin during the reign of the subsequent Pontiff (Pope Benedict XVI). Since the end times have not yet begun, the interpretation is obviously the latter. The tribulation will begin during the reign of the current Roman Pontiff, Pope Benedict XVI.

Formerly, I said that the first events of the tribulation would be the Warning, Consolation, and Miracle. But as these events have not yet occurred, my current thinking is that the tribulation begins first, and the Warning, Consolation, and Miracle occur a few years into the tribulation (in 2016). So I don’t believe that Pope Benedict XVI will see the Warning, as I had thought. Instead, he will see the beginning of the tribulation, the first event of which is a great war:
[Revelation 6]

{6:1} And I saw that the Lamb had opened one of the seven seals. And I heard one of the four living creatures saying, in a voice like thunder: “Draw near and see.”

{6:2} And I saw, and behold, a white horse. And he who was sitting upon it was holding a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering, so that he might prevail.

My interpretation is that this event is World War 3, a war in which the Arab/Muslim nations of the Middle East and northern Africa attack, invade, and conquer Europe. But the first event of this war, at least in my speculative eschatology, is an attack on the United States, a nuclear bomb explosion in New York City. Later in the war, in July of 2013, there is a nuclear missile attack on Rome and Vatican City.

It might be the case that Pope Benedict XVI’s reign lasts until World War 3 begins. This timing would be in agreement with the Three Popes prediction of Conchita.

But another possible interpretation is that the current set of events, which I interpret to be the immediate preparation for the tribulation (the Arab Spring, worldwide protests, economic problems), is sufficient to fulfill the Three Popes prediction. Thus Pope Benedict XVI has already seen the threshold of the tribulation.

However, my current opinion is that Pope Benedict XVI will live to see the start of World War 3, which would place the end of his reign sometime in 2012 (not 2011, as I had said).

The next Pope (Cardinal Arinze/Pope Pius XIII) will reign over the beginning of the tribulation AND over the beginning of the great apostasy. And this great apostasy begins (ironically) during the Year of Faith. So the next Pope is elected in 2012, before the Year of Faith begins. But Pope Benedict XVI does not die until the tribulation begins. My conclusion is that there are only a few more months left before the tribulation starts.

The Arab Spring prepares for the first event of the tribulation, World War 3, by unseating the current government leaders, giving extremists the opportunity to seize power.

The worldwide ‘Occupy’ Protests prepare for the second event of the tribulation, severe civil disorder and violence, by sowing the seeds of protest in major cities around the world.

The current economic problems will become much worse as the first two events of the tribulation begin, preparing the way for the third event of the tribulation, a worldwide famine that is more severe in wealthy nations.

In my line of thinking, in order for the following to happen, what Robert Duncan described in his PDF book (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?56002-Must-Read-The-Matrix-Deciphered-by-Dr-Robert-Duncan) needed to be readied and fit for its firing worldwide:

"Predicted" from the "revelations" of "Marian" apparitions in Garabandal, Spain (http://www.garabandal.org/News/Garabandal_Warning_Miracle_Interviews.shtml):

1973

Q. What will occur on the day of the Warning?
A. The most important thing about that day is that everyone in the whole world will see a sign, a grace, or a punishment within themselves — in other words a Warning. They will find themselves all alone in the world no matter where they are at the time, alone with their conscience right before God . They will then see all their sins and what their sins have caused.

Q. Will all feel it at the same time?
A. Yes, at the same time.

Q. How long will it last, a half hour, an hour?
A. I really don't know. I think that five minutes would be an adequate time.

Q. How will we feel it?
A. We will all feel it differently because it will depend on our conscience. The Warning will be very personal; therefore, we will all react differently to it. The most important thing will be to recognize our own sins and the bad consequences of them. You will have a different view of the Warning than me because your sins are different from mine.

Q. Will something happen to me because of my sins? I mean will physical harm come upon me as a result of them?
A. No, unless it's something that results from the shock, for example, a heart attack.

There are also this other guy's prophecies... Angelo Roncalli, AKA Pope John XXIII, 1935:

Two brothers and no one will be the real Father. The Mother will be widow.

The brothers of the Orient and of the Occident will kill each other and, in their assaults, kill their children. Then the barefoot saint will come down the mountain and, in front of the tomb of the beggar, will the reign of the Most Holy Blessed Virgin spring out.

Listen to her words. Most Holy Mary, daughter and mother of God, mistress of the future, drum the recall of your sons from the countryside, to bring down both Babylon.

And may the Mother be One, the way you are unique.

The earth will destroy the concrete and of earth, Queen, will your new church be. And on the land of wheat, for the hunger of thy people, flower on her new altar. Amen.

Your kingdom will be great and brief. Father, it will be short but it will lead you far in the distant land where you were born and where you will be buried. To Rome they will not want to give you.

And there will be another Father, before you were buried, to pray away for you, for the wounds of the Mother. Mikail and John descend upon earth.

The open jars in the secret caches below the treasure and will be discovered the footprints of the first man.

The big brother from the Orient will make the world tremble by the inverted cross without the lilies.

The Father will go to him but will leave the Mother orphan. But, previously, by his words of true science, the secret weapon that destroys weapons. Time of peace, then, and on the high stone will be the name of Albert.

The long peace will make past mistakes to be forgotten. The long peace will make the big brother crucified upside down to be forgotten. There will be war in the Mother, and the flocks will disperse. Then someone will cry blood and will be heard. Woe to him who cried, the first blood to flow will be his.

Crescent moon, star and cross will clash. Someone will rise up the black cross. From the valleys of the Prince the blind knights will spring out.

Behind them, the ravens of hunger, famine, plague.

Where do you think you’ll run away, now that you have destroyed the churches and killed the last Father? Wait for the sign of John. The lamb is ready. Do your signing seven times with a tired hand and wait. The light still comes from the Occident.

Before the ultimate light, the pastors will have recognized the sign. And the church will have many fathers, all brothers.

Off the land and water come out of cathedrals and temples for the holy saints new and old, to everlasting name. But it is already the time of the saints.

All will speak the same language.

And will use it to pray to the Virgin and the Saviour.

God’s reign comes to earth, his city stands even for whom did not want it.

The first sun illuminates the balance of the universe.

Open your heart to the lily. The voice will be powerful, announced by the trumpets.

Light of the West, last light before the eternal one, unknown. The truth is simpler than all have said, than all have written.

It will be a good judgment.

Our Father, who art in heaven, thy kingdom come. Thy will is done in heaven and on earth.

Twenty centuries plus the age of the Savior [2000 + 33]. Amen.

Father = Pope

Mother = The Church

When Benedict XVI's successor is voted in, there will be two brothers; both "Fathers" and neither of them being the "real" one.

When Benedict XVI's successor is voted in, there will be two brothers; both "Fathers" and neither of them being the "real" one.[/SIZE]

This sounds about right. See http://www.thetablet.co.uk/blogs/522/17

Excerpt:

Just look at what Benedict XVI has set up. It hardly reads like a resignation, more like a change as to where he sits on at the table of the board. He is now going to live next door to his successor. As a priest said to me, what curate, what new parish priest, wants his predecessor on the premises? Even if nothing at all is intended, the degree of insensitivity beggars belief. Incredibly, he has appointed Georg Gänswein not just to continue as his secretary but to be secretary to his successor. In other words there is now a situation, whether true or not, where the suspicion has to be that whatever the new pope says or does even privately will be known in every detail to Benedict, and Benedict's views on everything, on every single reform which are now matters of extreme urgency, will be carried to the new Pope with all the regularity and speed of a conveyor belt.
Gänswein will even be living in the same building as Benedict and will be prefect of 'his household'. What household? Why should a person in retirement need a secretariat? What for? The mind boggles. Has he in mind, among other things, that Gänswein should be advanced in due course from being a 'mere' archbishop, as he has just made him, to the cardinalate? And then what?
Then it is all made far worse, unimaginably worse to be honest, by Benedict's decision to take the title 'emeritus pope' and continue to wear the white garments associated with the papacy. I just cannot imagine anything so potentially divisive. That is not resignation: that smacks of hanging on. And for anyone looking in who is not familiar with such matters - probably the majority of the whole Catholic population and 99 per cent of the rest of the world - it will look like we have two popes both living within the walls of the Vatican. The whole situation is simply intolerable. I only hope, and I am praying, that the new pope will address this matter very firmly and decisively. He will not be bound by any decisions on such matters by Benedict.

Still keeping with my line of thinking (see post # 35), Ratzinger was ready to step down as early as March 2012:

[...]

The Pope made the decision to resign last March (2012), by the way. It was only announced publicly a few weeks ago.

http://nytimes.com/2013/02/12/world/europe/pope-benedict-xvi-says-he-will-retire.html

... but had to wait for the Weapon of Mind Destruction to be ready (see Robert Duncan, "The Saint"'s PDF (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?56002-Must-Read-The-Matrix-Deciphered-by-Dr-Robert-Duncan)) and effective world-wide before being able to do so; much in the same way that ending WW II had to wait till nuclear bombs were ready to be dropped on Japan although she was ready to capitulate for months prior.

When these guys have something in "their" mind... "they" follow through...

It may get a bit "chilly" in the Sistine Chapel during the conclave, so they hooked up a couple of woodstoves in there to keep it "warm and cozy"! :)

Amzer Zo, your posting is an interesting mix of science and prophecy, no disrespect intended.

This one sounds very much like a Dec 21st scenario, suggesting that the idea behind that was right but the date was wrong. This is just a comment, not a criticism. I have often pointed out that we do have these before-and-after game-changing moments. September 11th was one of them.

Another is the reaching of the end of St Malachi’s list of popes. That list has become increasingly the tail wagging the dog. If the papacy survives this planned apocalypse, it will be freed of the shackles of carrying out this agenda. The pope following Petrus Romanus could take steps to making the Vatican the vector for good that it is supposed to be, including gradually dismantling the whole thing.
