I found this really neat website that is all about using the internet to get off the internet and start local community groups (world-wide)... for whatever your interest is in...

I already have a membership in 10 local groups... (4 groups for special needs / autism, 3 for homesteading/self-sufficiency/disaster preparedness, 3 for business brainstorming/ accomplishing your goals)... and I had to stop there so i did not get overloaded...
... anything and everything, or start a local community group of your own in whatever topic/subject you want...
