Iceland the love of words.........I have heard of the Saga's like everyone else
but did not realise the literally significance of them.....interresting story....
Brings Iceland to life, that icy island in the North Sea , famous for going
bankrupt a couple of years ago and saying no to the 'Banksters'...
These vikings are more than that !! One of the first settlements was founded
by a Scottish woman....and later influenced the writings of Blake & Tolkien !

The tales of the Norse gods, of the giants, demons, trolls and dwarves, still have the power to fascinate more than a thousand years after they were first told. Here are the stories of the one-eyed god Odin, the all-seeing, who from his throne in Asgard the home of the gods, has to prepare for Ragnarok, the final conflict between good and evil. There are tales too of Tyr the god of war, of the cunning Loki, of Thor the mighty thunder god and a host of others. These retellings of the old tales are given extra dramatic perspective by the music of Mahler, Grieg, Smetana. They come to life as never before.

- Day and Night and Sun and Moon
- The Golden Age of Asgard
- The Gods of Asgard
- Yggdrasil & the Three Norns
- The Apples of Idun
- How Tyr Lost His Hand
- How Thor Got His Hammer
- Thor in the Hall of the Giants
- The Death of Baldur
