New privacy products are being developed to fight back against Big Brother, and they involve glasses that thwart facial recognition scanners.

Love it :thumb:

Between that and the "stealth hoodies" to block the infrared scans from drones we might have a chance???

What's the big deal? Just shape-shift when passing anything that takes your picture. We can all do that, right?

Similar to an experiment done a few years back. A car number plate was surrounded with infrared leds and it confused the camera.
Was going to try it through a speed camera but back then I had no spare cash for fines if it failed.

you can buy those currently, they flash the camera with ultra bright LED's when they detect a "red light" camera (or similar) going off.

I thought you couldn't recognize my face because my glasses are so thick. :nerd:

I will just shake my head back and forth real fast when I walk into buildings and such, to make a motion blur! That'll show em!

Hey Borden my friend ... happy to see you shape-shift back into the forum

I expect that even among the forum members ... not too many would understand with "we can all do that" even if that is the case.

Care to expand?

Oh come off it, Cal ... Neo Borden, Sith eyes Borden, stripey jumper Borden with dimples? If that's not shape-shifting I don't know what is! What the hell did you think I was?

But keep it under your Jedi hat.

I'm very well, my friend, and thank you. I hope you're doing splendidly too, Cal.

You know me, I like to remain dustless, and whatever I may or may not know, the last thing I'd want to do is come off like some authority on subjects that are for the greater part subjective and quite ephemeral in terms of the collective 'reality' we all have in common. Quite a bit of that goes on around here, and it's a source of some comedy, let me tell you, heh heh. The seat of elevated understanding in certain proclamative posts has a whoopee cushion on it.

Quick Borden ... say something on topic or you'll be disregarding Camilo's intended subject and that would be rude. Well okay ... Terminator, Minority report, 1984, Brave New World, The Matrix, Total Recall, Equilibrium ... need I go on? It's not about fighting fire with technological fire, or about peeing into hurricanes, and let's not get any more elemental than that. We were warned, comprehensively and abundantly. No disrespect to you at all, OP - that is an interesting gadget. But in this onslaught, do you think our gadgets will ever be as good as theirs?

We could always try being true human beings. We've been led down a dark path that isn't evolution, it's our doom. My belief is that a true human's abilities and insights have been purposely, meticulously bred out of us, and that we might need to look at some of our ancestors if we're to have any hope. You know what? I suspect that's the one thing they fear more than anything.

God, that was gloomy! I honestly don't feel gloomy about it ... this is a great story we're involved in right now! Lots of drama. Who knows what might happen?

Who knows what might happen?

No one.

... but I really miss your voice ... *SERIOUSLY*.

Others do as well.

...

Oh sh!t ... thread ... disrailing ... on topic ... dammit.

Way sorry here ... touching base with a good friend who we have missed.

Back to topic ... eyewear yes???

Socially acceptable too. I'd really rather moon the cameras. Give 'em a good 'wink' too. LOL

With the flu being so virulent this season, I've taken to wearing one of these when I'm out in public places:

And you can buy funny ones now, too, to give Big Bro that extra little f---you...

Along with the Groucho accessory, one of these should be sufficient to thwart Big Bro, and protect from viruses as well.
Though we may need a special mask to be invented now that protects us from bio-engineered viruses....
Here's one with living herbs built right in, that also provides some eye camouflage; for that urban guerilla look:
