As Neil Young says in this classic old tune: "And tomorrow morning, the man from the bank is gonna come and take it all away". Or is he?

Yes, the banker can strip away every material thing we possess, but there are certain things he can never take, and those are the things that all the money in the world cannot buy to satisfy a hollowed out soul.
