As our friend Gio says: Will share this here :)
This is the story of my best friend and father of my godchild.
After falling overboard during rough seas in Indonesia whilst on a surfing holiday with friends, he was found alive after floating for 27 hours!!
NEVER GIVE UP!!
There is so much 'dreck' out there, let us count our blessings! The sleepless night, vigil and prayers have been worth it.
As the story unfolded:
South Africa man missing on surfing trip.
Cape Town - A South Africa man is missing at sea in Indonesia after being swept overboard while travelling to the Mentawaii Islands off Sumatra.
Brett Archibald, from Cape Town, on a surfing trip to the southeast Asian country, was aboard the boat Naga Laut when other passengers noticed that he was missing at breakfast, around 08:00.
He had last been seen around 04:30 local time.
According to a passenger, Archibald had been very seasick during a storm and may have fallen overboard when getting sick on deck whilst others were asleep on Wednesday morning.
The boat was immediately turned around to retrace the route. Indonesian maritime authorities are currently conducting a search and rescue mission.

The air search was called off when light made it impossible to. But there were boats out, all dispatched without question or concern about monetary compensation
When he was finally found, the news soon spread.

A SURFER who fell overboard and was left floating for 27 hours in Indonesia has been rescued by a Sydney-owned private charter boat.
South African Brett Archibald was among 10 passengers on a tour boat making the overnight trip between Padang and the Mentawais.
He was reported missing by a fellow passenger after failing to turn up for breakfast, surf magazine Stab reported. The Cape Town resident had reportedly been suffering from seasickness.
Private surf charter boats in the area - led by the Sydney-owned Barrenjoey - joined the rescue bid.
The Indonesian Federal Search and Rescue Basarmas also co-ordinated a search and rescue with local Indonesian authorities and coast guard.
The captain of the Barrenjoey, which is owned by Sydney couple John and Belinda McGroder, found Archibald, 50, in the ocean, floating on his back.
Captain Doris discovered Archibald today about 20 kilometres from where the surfer had fallen overboard 27 hours earlier.
Archibald, who was sunburnt and dehydrated, will be taken to Padang.
“Brett Archibald has boarded the Barenjoey 20 mins ago,” wrote All Aboard Travel on their Facebook. “He is alive. A bit sunburnt and dehydrated. He was floating alone. The boat is taking him to the Indies Trader III so that he can phone his wife."

A Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Searching-for-Brett-Archibald/168963063261976) dedicated to his search (sorry to those who have no access). The prayer circle was far and wide.
