That site flashed a very obnoxious sign onto my screen that said:

"Disable your adblocker, only members are allowed to use adblockers"

No idea why, or what's that.

An ad blocker is a browser add-on that filters out most adverts so you don't have to see them. The good ones subscribe to a list which has the domains of all the worst offenders and that list is kept up to date.

So many people have started ad-blockers (to basically make the internet usable again without having to wade through tons of bandwidth hungry obnoxious adverts each with the potential to track you), that sites which are funded by advert revenue are loosing out, so now they are using ways of detecting if you are using ad blockers and whinging about it if they see that.

The one I use is called add block plus and I recommend it: https://adblockplus.org/en/firefox

Hi buddy - Do you use Firefox? Try good ol YouTube again by typing in "UFOs over Syria" - their videos work fine with FireFox adblocker enabled (well at least, it's working fine for me ;))

Hi again Chester - sorry it's still not working for you mate :( - LavaSoft are apparently including an adblocker in their new upcoming release of AdAware if that may help?
