I've heard that people have been starting false Facebook pages in other peoples' names and posting disinfo on them, or posting disinfo on other people's FB pages and making it look like the owner of the page posted it.
Seems like a very good way to discredit someone.

She was asked many weird questions by interviewers about eventual correlations between her expertise area and the current alternative media nonsense hype (Ison).

So, she was ashamed to admit that she didn't know anything about Ison, and then proceeded to do her own research on the issue, which of course led her to hundreds of pages of nonsense.

Then she bought it all, hook like and sinker, and started to propagate the nonsense by making weak connections with her own information.

People always end up messing things up for fear of admitting they don't know something...Nobody is obliged to know everything, still, people continue to feel ashamed or diminished somehow, when they don't have answers for something.

That's how easy it is to make somebody discredit himself...Just ask something you're sure he doesn't have the answer to. Make sure this question will lead him to lots of nonsense. Wait until he comes back a few days later with all the "answers"...No mind control or sophisticated techniques involved, just the good old ego and knowledge about human psychology.

Unfortunately, too few people are smart enough to avoid this strap and stick to their expertise.

So, here's the lesson: Stick with what you really know if you are a public person. Whenever someone asks you something you don't know, just say you don't know and change the subject back to your expertise area. Everything you say can be used against you at any moment in time, so watch out. Most interviewers in the alternative media are very biased and will try to make you confirm and corroborate their views; Don't stand by anything besides what you really know.

Sure.

Either someone she trusts is passing her invalid information or, since she's new to this alternative media universe, she isn't experienced enough to discern what's what.

I'm more inclined to believe on the second option, since trust comes with time, and she didn't have enough time in the alternative media to trust anyone, so, most probably, it's just naivety of her part.

Anyway, from now on, it will be hard for us to discern when she's talking about something she really understands from when she's just mixing up info captured from the web,compromising her view of the big picture and the quality of her information altogether.

Thank you for your very kind words. In fact, I just watched the video regarding Planet X being Comet ISON aka Nibiru. After watching it, I must admit that when it came from you, I second guessed all the research I have done pertaining to the entire subject. This was very scary but it is not your fault, not at all. They have stabilized these two gases with a product called "Corexit" which is a lay term similar to napalm and it binds the gas and keeps it stable. This has been proved correct as testing was done. Linguistics are important. People are often inaccurate in choosing their words, a first hand story often is an interpretation.

Example:
Two table-tennis players are both on their own side. The net in between has one red side and one green side.
One will say the net is red, the other one will say the net is green. Two versions and both sound right.

But the problem is that they should not say "the net is ...". They should say "my side of the net is ..."
To translate unambiguously what you see or witness is very difficult for the untrained individual.

In fact, I hope a lot of Avalonians are looking at that, as it opens up a whole new bunch of possible explanations which make good sense, about a whole lot of connected subjects.
It's a lot of info to absorb, even for those of us who are research veterans, but I can testify, as someone who has been sifting and sorting and trying to make sense of it all for a long time, that becoming familiar with Chris Thomas's theories could possibly save someone relatively new to this a lot of time and confusion.
I don't know that it is 100% accurate, but I really like his theory about the Velon (Annunaki) going back in time to create a hoaxed story about their history on Earth, and how they've been controlling the puppet strings from afar.
I haven't heard yet what his theory is about the ancient gold mines in Africa, monoatomic gold, etc. but hopefully Turiya and Herbert will help bring us up to speed on that, as well as the theory about the Illuminati's role in the birth of the United States.
