The Human Chain

Okay, let's kick off then with the idea of a human chain inspired by freedom4all's thread (Let's start a thread on solutions. (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?66273-Lets-start-a-thread-on-solutions.))

In this Human Chain thread we actively gather to focus all our attention on one beneficial image at a time to help a situation in the world.

:cantina:

I don't know if we should have one specific person decide when and what but of course we do have to all (as many as possible) be there at one point in time to do the job.

Here's what we had in mind (quotes taken from freedom4all's original thread):

Heres an idea i would like to see come to fruition.
As the saying goes United We Stand Divided We Fall .
And Energy Flows Where Attention Goes.
In this age of social networking we should be able to
get enough people to create a human chain on a certain
day [given enough time to reach enough people] to go
outside on a certain day [correlate the best time for the
different time zones]and join hands with the intention of
love and unity.
Thats all we need to do is join hands in unity for a few minutes.
This Forum has almost 7000 members and countless people visit
the site. Then theres other forums and face book and twitter and so on.
Those that want to get involved in making flyers and stickers etc for
Human Chain Day would be more than welcome.
I know loads of people who would want to participate how about YOU?
Lets face it if twerking can take off why not start something positive?
ALL FEEDBACK WELCOME!

I think Create A Human Chain Day is a very good idea

It would take some prominent people to back this idea, BILL could get on board, other websites could advertise it

A date could be picked in the future, say, 4th April 2014----4/4/14

Someone on this site could come up with a logo

On that day people could send the intention of clearing radiation and uplifting humanity

We are powerful together. People concentrating at the same time would produce powerful effects

Lets see if this idea takes off or are people more interested in who's twerking who

Energy flows where attention goes.

I like the idea of organising a moment at a feasible (?) GMT time in which we all visualise the same image (for that day)...And we do that for a good number of minutes. And then let go.

Sessions to be held on a regular basis and discussing the outcomes. I'm going to think about that.

What would that do? 7000 people visualising all the poor people of the world at a well set table, laughing, joyous and enjoying good healthy meals in good physical and emotional health.

:cantina:

(But of those 7000 a number are probably going to have to put their alarm on )

So, when do we first meet?

freedom4all
9th December 2013, 12:53
We dont meet we simply pick a date and time [Aprils a good time]and
then spread the word through family/friends/social networking/neighborhoods etc
handing out fliers putting stickers around places with Human Chain Day and the logo
we choose on it to spread the word so people from all walks of life will simply go
outside where ever they live and to join hands with the person next to them on that day
and time with a certain intention to unite for Humanity for however minutes [to be decided]
yes it will take some organizing but the main thing is that its free just step outside with just
you and your heart and join another in unity and so on like a ripple affect.
I dont mind meeting to organize something like this but my intention was on a larger scale
than a few of us joining hands doing ring around the roses.

Okay, freedom4all, I see.

Well, every start is a starting point.

Cool idea. I was daydreaming about something similar.

Why do we have to wait til April?

Couldn't we have an ongoing intention thread?

If it was an etheric project we could start now, without worrying about involving family/friends on social networks.

In 1986 there was an event called Hands Across America that I was a part of in Philadelphia...It was amazing to feel the energy of that.. :grouphug:

I like freedom4all's suggestion too.

This 5 minute video tells the story quite well!

Wx1np9SKggs

Hands Across America was a benefit event and publicity campaign staged on Sunday, May 25, 1986 in which approximately 6.5 million people held hands in a human chain for fifteen minutes along a path across the continental United States. Many participants donated ten dollars to reserve their place in line; the proceeds were donated to local charities to fight hunger and homelessness and help those in poverty.

"On the afternoon of Sunday, May 25, 1986, almost seven million people joined hands to form a line that stretched 4,152 miles (6,682 km) – from New York City's Battery Park to the RMS Queen Mary pier in Long Beach, California. This nationwide event, called Hands Across America, was intended to raise money to fight hunger and homelessness."[this quote needs a citation]

In order to allow the maximum number of people to participate, the path linked major cities and meandered back and forth within the cities. There were undoubtedly many breaks in the chain, but enough people participated to form an unbroken chain across the 48 contiguous states if the participants had been spread evenly along the route standing four feet (1.2 m) apart.

Hands Across America raised $34 million.

Chains are temporary, global 'interactive' thought is better..

Google the 'Cone of Power' which supposedly affected the outcome of parts of WWII. Fascinating... this is one of many 'explanations' on Google...

Operation Cone of Power
Gardner would reveal little about the coven and its members, although claimed that in August 1940, during the midst of the Second World War, they performed a ritual known as Operation Cone of Power which they hoped would influence the High Command of Nazi Germany and prevent them from invading Britain. This magical ritual, Gardner claimed, took place inside the Forest, and involved the Witches raising a Cone of Power which they directed toward Germany and focused on sending the message into the minds of the German leaders that they would not be able to cross the English Channel.[17] Gardner also noted that several of the older and frailer practicing Witches died after practicing the ritual, something that was confirmed by Louis Wilkinson, who claimed that it was because they had performed the ritual naked, without goose grease on the skin to keep them warm, and that as such they had contracted pneumonia. Investigating these claims, Heselton found two locals who died soon after the ritual: a reporter, Walter Forder (1881-1940), and a blacksmith, Charles Loader (1864-1940), whom he speculated were involved in the rite.[18]
link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Forest_coven

There are many links to this 'Cone of Power', so I do believe that interlinked intention really works. If so many decide on a date and time - the negative can be diverted, however - is this not what is happening regularly on the 'dark side' with their ritualistic dates et al? Perhaps defining these 'negative' dates, and outpouring 'positivity' to negate the darkness on 'their' dates - we can at least neutralise the nonsense happening now. `Just a thought amongst all of yours....

Well, wadda ya know, I just watched a documentary on the outcomes of WWII, see, it's working already

:typing:

Two things though:

1) My interpretation was a virtual joining of hands as - really - I did not know the concept of physical joining of hands for this purpose before today. So we learn new things here everyday, :nerd: for which many thanks freedom4all et al. However, this may make my thread title a bit - not correct or so. I dunno.

And

:drum:

As for the practical part of the non-physical joining hands, my suggestion for starter themes are:

- Philippines (I visualise a winter in the Philippines and after a hard day's work of reconstructing the village, all the people are sitting by a warm fire with a hot drink in their hands. The children are cheerfully playing around and the people are engaged in friendly conversations with one another. Nobody's going to be cold tonight, because everyone's helping each other by offering places to stay and sleep.)

- The (city's) homeless. This is not a good time of year to be homeless, is any time really. In Belgium we always have a winter problem with the homeless because every year again there's not enough space to accommodate them during deadly freezy winternights. But this is an international problem that goes beyond cities I'm sure. (I see different homeless people being invited by different strangers. They hesitantly go along because it's freezing and it's worth the risk. They come into a warm home where an old woman welcome them at the door and offers them a cover and a hot drink (I think I need a hot drink myself now) and she says "Please, do come in." The homeless person is seated with the family and thinking about how it would be nice to always be in this comfortable situation. Then these kind strangers talk about what they could do to help this homeless person get out of his situation and he doesn't believe his ears. A huge smile - when was the last time he smiled - appears on his face.)

Is there a good "vibrational" day of the week to be doing these kind of things?

And what would be a "best" GMT time. Also, I think a time stretch is better than a fixed point of time for allowing people to join in, e.g. from 6PM until 7PM. When do we have most people together on Avalon? Does anyone know that?

Other visualisation ideas? We could make a calendar.

I like this idea too, could feel glimmers of hope and excitement. I was doing my morning rituals and had a passing thought of this same idea today though not as well formed. I feel a little shift towards the positive. I think it is good to make it open ended as, in the past when I've heard of similar "group meditations" at a certain time I would always forget or get busy. The idea of overlap is great and visualizing us all doing this together is powerful.

Violet
10th December 2013, 23:14
Okay, I feel it's time to start.

But before that, a few more thoughts:

*someone - I can't recall now - mentioned the idea of just doing thinking/prayer/...at any given time of the day. If different people around the globe do this then it will be a round-the-clock-event which I feel is even more powerful (and foremost workable for this concept) than setting one same hour around the globe. So, setting the theme per week sounds like more practical to me. What do you think?

* after all this shouldn't have to be like..."an appointment" or a "to-do" on some busy list. That's not going to attract the right energy, I think. That's why I'd suggest going with weekly themes and people focusing round-the-clock, round-the-world, even if just for one sincere minute.

* last but not least: this is not doing nothing. Who says we don't do anything practical besides these warm and sincere thoughts (like going out in the field and actively helping the needy with real (not virtual) hands and spending from our money on charity)? Surely, we can't be obliged to list all of our charity as evidence that yes we do good for humanity. Whatever real or virtual good deed was done by us, the receiver will know it. We believe that both the real help as well as the untangible thought will have benefits for the people we direct them to.

----
It's December.

THEME: THE (CITY'S) HOMELESS
Brief recap of idea and verbal image:

- The (city's) homeless. This is not a good time of year to be homeless, is any time really. In Belgium we always have a winter problem with the homeless because every year again there's not enough space to accommodate them during deadly freezy winternights. Then these kind strangers talk about what they could do to help this homeless person get out of his situation and he doesn't believe his ears. A huge smile - when was the last time he smiled - appears on his face.)

I've got some imagery too (not mine ;) ) for completing the picture but feel free to add your own warm images:

And my wishes/prayers:

I wish for the homeless people to be safe. That they be warm and fed. That they will get new opportunities/prospects for better lives. That they can smile without worrying. More wishes from you?

---

Yes, we've now taken off :clap2: until...next Wednesday? Is Wednesday a good fixed starting day?

PS: I'm not planning to be posting these weekly themes myself. Makes me feel like a teacher handing out homework :p Everyone can do that, if they feel like it. Long as it's organised, I guess.

This week is for the children. We not only were children once, we still are (just look/keep looking).

In our world, many children are left in the dark. Both within ourselves and out there in the physical world.

Turn on the light.

There are so many of us and we have many things to say to each other but we don't always feel that we're being heard. Heard, that is an ear, or two, and one medium in both directions. Do you listen? Check. Are you willing to listen? You're willing to be heard. Give and take. Let's focus on that for a week.

Everybody's happy, there's an atmosphere in the air (to do with the holidays of course). Let's stretch it until long after the holidays, into the next holidays and so on. Don't wait for a reason. Be happy. Now, and after that too. Be nice. Be generous.

If that's too much to ask for all at once, I invite you to start practising with me this week, call it Week of Niceness. How can I help on your personal journey? I've got one too, but how can I come closer to understand you and yours? I'm happy and I care for you to be so to. Let's do this together.

No

I would like to ask for a lot of energy for a big no to a repition of what is discussed in the below video. As much as I don't like this type of comparison, I can't find a clearer example to illustrate the risk that we are now so close to.

As you may have gathered from what I wrote in the last couple of weeks there are some trends in my country and Europe in general that are not favourable for maintaining harmony in society. There is a deep mistrust in one's own neighbour even. And this is why I chose this video. When you get so far that upon direct/indirect encouragement of the government, for the safety of us all, you will keep a close eye on even your neighbour for anomalies which you will then gladly report for the greater good, something is seriously not right.

And to that, a big no this week.
