I know next to nothing about Scientology but thought this may be of interest to some who do. This is his Grandson'e spoken word performance.

NPR's Snap Judgment Performance of the YEAR! Snap Judgment veteran Jamie DeWolf smashes against a towering family legacy with a breathtaking performance.

This is his son's interview a few decades ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcPoSo49dYU

The Grandson's tattoos seem a bit "odd"

Wow! That got me listening to testimony L. Ron's son gave around 1982 or so on YT.

If even 1/4 of what he says is true, then L Ron was truly a psychopath. His son claims he was a crook, pathological liar, wife beater, drug user and on and on it goes. It sounds like his successor is cut from the same cloth.

Google his (L Ron's) "affirmations" if you wanna see a view of him that's not popular 'round here...

Babalon Working is another "good" one...

I said it was good, as in an insight as to where he is coming from.

Is he proud of his "work" with Jack parsons? Is that part of his teachings? Please explain what you feel he was doing in his involvement with it?

And is it not true that the knowledge that he (frater x?) was involved was hidden not so long ago?

My understanding is they were opening a portal to usher a "moon child" into this dimension, if that is a good thing, it must be a core teaching of his philosophy, right?

I believe it to be a work of black magick, but I may be mistaken, could you please enlighten us?

I guess the thing that bothers me is the amount of money the CoS takes from its members.

I know someone who went to an initial meeting that the CoS put on. She said they passed out questionnaires to everyone, and most of the questions were about how much money you made, occupation etc.

The other concern is the amount of total control they seem to have over their members. It's good that some high profile people are leaving and calling it a cult.

It all does boil down to free will however, no one has put a gun to these people's head to make them join. I guess it's something they decided they wanted to experience at some level.

This is L. Ron's son testifying in court against his Father.

What bothers me is questions about the man himself.

I would love to hear different perspectives or versions of the Babalon Working incident. Please wegge, I really want to know what is not "bad" about it. My understanding is that Jack Parsons and L Ron performed a ritual in the desert, and reported it to Alestair Crowley, who did not exactly seem impressed.

Also: Have you listened to L Ron Hubbard's (alleged) "Affirmations"? Is that real? Is that "not bad"?

Snookie: Be careful not to cross issues here....the current "church" is not loved by many who DO follow LRH's teachings....some will tell you that it is the church and definitely not the man who is about the money and power/control.

I believe this thread was started to show a different perspective on the man, who most claim is completely seperate and even antithical (sp?) to the teachings of the man...the CoS is now supposedly a whole other animal, that "hijacked" and twisted Hubbard's teachings.

here in this post are excerpts from Peter Moon´s book "synchronicity and the seventh seal", he met with cameron marjorie who was the wife of Jack Parsons and was involved in the Babalon working
If you get into this book you get another view of what Babylon could actually have meant some time before it became engraved in our psyche as something representing evil

The one Ariadne's thread (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ariadne) to follow in and out of that cauldronic labyrinthe simmering a bouillabaisse turned ratatouille is that, what LRH was facing right from the get go of the publishing of his "Dianetics" book in 1950, is what we are facing now as, let's say, the "Avalon community," namely attacks from all quarters including, but not restricted to: demonic, achontic cruise missiles, plants whether sleepers or not, psychic attacks, AI attacks, etc... name your own. Those attacks directed at him, his family as well as at his entourage and the individuals helping him in his project.

As members of the Avalon community, we are now a bit more aware of those many things which can be dug out from threads like those of Houman's, Steve Richards', Simon Parkes, Truman Cash's, "Charles'", etc... now that ghosts, demons, tulpas, golems, eggregores, ETs of various denominations, etc. are a bit less of a mystery and not totally ignored (even though still ridiculed) whereas, in the early 50's... everything of that kind was a joke and totally "impossible"... yet very active and hard at work to defeat the project!

Same sort of opposition "truth" or "free energy" are met with by the same "controllers."

So, who's telling the truth?

Who knows?

However, regarding Parsons and Crowley, see this post (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?54217-Their-Mind-and-the-Emotional-Matrix-that-we-create-with-it.&p=624459&viewfull=1#post624459) (<---)

What's certain is that most of the technology derived from the philosophy, when adequately and correctly applied, works time after time.

That's all.
