Hi there everyone,

I am writing this post in hope that I can get people all over the world praying for my best friend, Vicky. She has been suffering from ulcerative colitis for 5 years and is currently in hospital (again) due to a serious flare up. This particular flare up has been very serious though and she faces the possibility of losing her colon and having to have 2 colostomy bags fitted for the rest of her life. She is only 32 and is one of the most beautiful people, on the inside and out, that I have ever met.

If you could, I would be so grateful to keep her in positive thoughts and prayers.

Thank you ever so much

Namaste

Hi there: I almost never post anything here because there are too many beautiful souls in this forum already, but today I felt compelled to do it. Please if you really want to help your friend get her to make drastic changes in her diet. It's known that eating fruits and vegetables, less beef and chicken and more important to stop eating food made of wheat, rice and also potatoes do wonderful things for the colon. You can research the web to get information, it's already there. Juicing is a wonderful thing, she can get well in no time just juicing for a week or so, there are too many recipes for juicing, she can use any extractor, processor, blender or the new wonder I use all the time the nutribu**et, get the Dr. Oz green juice recipe, it tastes good and make wonders for you. Just a few days ago someone else posted a video with plenty of information about it, this is the link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dhlp8jSiiU

Please, don't think because it doesn't say in the title ulcerative colitis doesn't apply, the opposite is true. It's a long video but you can watch every day a 20 mins segment, you will never regret it.
We have all the information we need in this forum it's just a matter of looking for it and changing diet can really, really change peoples lives for the better in every sense.
Don't think if vegetables are not organics are not good, organics are better but regular ones can do the job. I could post a lot of people's testimonios on getting the health back just increasing vegetable and fruits intake but the web have plenty of them. Good luck to your friend.

Thank you ever so much latina :)

My friend was on the diet about 2 years ago and became so so so well...then became too confident and figured she was "alright" and slipped back into really bad eating habits! Plus she has been seeing a man who has stressed her out so much that it has been the thing that has sent her back into hospital!

I have told her that I will do the diet with her to make it easier and so she doesn't feel all alone in it! I know how restrictive it is and she is one of those people who just LOVE food :( I've even said Id transform part of her garden into a vegetable plot so she has a constant supply of fresh and organic vegetables to juice! I just hope so much that she doesn't have to go through the operation. I know that she has learned a very serious and valuable lesson and she is determined to stay on the diet this time too!

I just wish I could take it all away :(

My brother had a case of UC when he was about 25. Additionally, a local handyman I talk with frequently also has UC. Nasty stuff. I assume she's on prednazone(sp?)?

There are already a wealth of threads on Avalon pertaining to dietary changes. They're not specifically aimed at UC, but that doesn't negate the validity of the information. Diatomacious earth in particular could be of great use and benefit. Additionally, coloidal silver and zappers have shown moderate efficacy. GMOs are a definite no no, but I imagine you/she know/s that already, and gluten sensitivity seems to increase exponentially. I am not certain, but I would add MSGs to that list and absolutely no aspartame. In fact, sugars should be all but avoided in their entirety (esp processed sugar).

The handyman still has his colon, but my brother doesn't. It's not the most desirable outcome but it is manageable and not as bad as one thinks, at least not as bad as I'd thought.

Thanks!

I'm not sure of the names of the medication that she is on, but at the moment her body is literally swimming in steroids and morphine :'(

I took her to a herbalist who knows a lot about nutrition too, and he recommended glutamine. She took that stuff for ages and changed her diet and became so so so well!

Google "tumeric", which is a yellow coloured root, similar to ginger...

It is what gives curry the yellow colour.

Incidences of colon cancer in the US far outweigh those of India, where this roots is being consumed daily.

Something like for every 18 cases of colon cancer in the US there is only one in India.

My sympathy for your friend. There are many sites that suggest diets for this condition and most of the suggestions here have been good... however.... with a condition like this you actually need a LOW fibre diet. That is one low in wholegrain, fibrous fruit and veg etc, at least until the irritation subsides a bit. Giving up wheat may help-- though white bread can usually be tolerated.

The diet is completely different to that we are usually told to have for our health, but this person is not healthy and needs to allow the colon to mend with calming foods not aggressive roughage. Can you get to a dietitian? They will help.

I do hope she mends soon. This is such a painful and debilitating condition so i hope she beats it. Try to help her be cheerful as stress does not help!

Her diet change and stress levels have to change! I suffered for years with it, and it's awful. No more tomatoe sauces, cheeses, or acidic drinks. Baking soda instead of protonix or the purple pill that is too expensive, yet heals esophageal tract, and is just out of financial reach. I was on 1st in my lifespan vacation w/hubby on a cruise to Jamaica and a rupture of polyp occurred after recently having a colonoscopy and removal of 2. The doc on ship wanted to send me to the hospital to be "desectioned" where they remove the worst of a colon weakened section and end the irritated bowel area. Okay enough about me.

Your friend is suffering from over consumtion of preservatives from industrialized processed foods with high amounts of sodium and acids that add to those already produced whenever your friend is in distress or high stress. Her diet changes are imperative and since I changed the spicy lifestyle, I've not suffered as much or had another polyp.

Natural fruits and tropical fruits like papaya and peaches and soft sweets, grapes bananas, apples, and stay away from citrus until she feels better. I say this because vitamin C will aid in absorption in the colon for nutrients. No grapefruit because it causes more harm to the stomach. Meditation and less stress as she can change. Stay away from ignorant people that upset and cause the acids to flow and eat away at her intestinal linings. Lifestyle and diet changes as well as a colonic cleanse of parasites that may be infecting her lining. I'm taking one this month after a 22 year hiatius. Hubby never had one, and is a meat eater, sugar hound, loves sushi, and cheese. All the bacteria and parasites are in these foods and they poop over 2oo,ooo eggs per day, and their fecal matter causes disease. Go to Onelifeusa, and seek the parasite kit for 19.99. Those flare ups will stop almost immediately, but she has to use a probiotic to replace the bodies natural bacteria and emzymes once the cleanse is complete. I believe it comes with the kit. But the ingredients are black walnut hull, cloves and wormwood to remove worms, larvae and eggs. After that it will be easier to find the real culprit which is dis-ease from stress and diet, the pains will go away, and the body can heal naturally. If she's really bad, a cup of goats milk will heal and put a coating on her stomach to protect her from the acids and heal the intestinal sores on her linings in her digestive tract.

Goats milk aids in acid reflux also. NO more "white bleached processed sugar" like Domino, use honey or natural fruit sugars from pineapples, that come in the brown pack at the 711. Time to put those pillows up at least six inches to prevent gastrointestinal reflux from the acid damages and not choking in her sleep. The intestinal tract has been swamped with toxins that weaken her immune system from the parasites. I always wondered why my "Rockerfella medicine by the book doc" never told me or my hubby about parasites and it took him a year to give me a "food chart to stick to."

I will pray for her to heal and then she MUST change these things. The parasite cleanse is an excellent idea, if she's not under a lot of stress daily, and the possibility of worm fecal poisoning may be taking over, "its host body from the inside." A football player was wracked with pain and they did an exploratory when they couldn't find out what was wrong causing the stomach pains. When they cut the intestine, he was littered with white worms that looked like fluke worms flat, some round and hook worms also. Another autopsy on a dead patient revealed the heart was infested with them.

This is why I will cleanse the worms from the body first, before treating the colon to heal. But she may be really irritated, so a 32 oz of pure aloe vera for the next few days will stop it all. I think this is what you are inferring about in the beginning for the urgency of her suffering. There was NO BETTER CURE for it than aloe vera straight. Drink it right out the bottle. They have fruited aloes, but like the good book says, sometimes we have to use the bitter herbs to cure. Garlic, MJ, cloves, aloe, and other herbals are the bitter herbs mentioned. Aloes grew freely back in the day. Remember the tarzan movie where he was standing next to a big aloe in Africa in the jungle. He used to cut that plant for Jane for all ailments. I suggest the aloe first, when she's out the hospital, cleanse and change dietary consumption of highly acidic foods. Meditation with jazz calming music.

I've been working on the vortex, but the health of people and healing is my specialty. Healing warmth is spreading down into her intestinal tract and easing the pain. Garlic is the natural antibiotic, so I ask and draw from all that is good in God's plan to heal your friend from this "stress dis-ease" disease. Comforting prayers of love and compassion for her at this time to heal and get better at her selection of processed foods. Garlic will keep her immune system strong.. have her slice and put it in salads like a veggie. If you can eat spaghetti, you can eat garlic and heal yourself.

God's speedy recovery for your friend.:target:

Then Aloe is what you need immediately for your friend. Pick up a bottle of 100 percent and take it to the hospital and give it to her. They'll think its their medication release her, and she can go back to that diet that works. I used to feel alone when I suffered and couldn't eat pizza anymore, although my hubby was 'pizzaman" for 7 years. You see what I'm getting to?

I had lots of yellow squash, green squashes grilled, a nuwave oven is the best for preparation, and I caught a bogo sale at night on tv. Hubby does recycling and auction bidding at Goodwill and has run across lots of Foreman Grills so I can stop the frying. I even can fry without frying in the Nuwave oven, chicken just as crispy. The nuwave removes the irritating fats from foods. Tuna, fish, chicken and lamb for her meats. Beef full of parasites that can thrive in her body right now. So get that aloe,:wizard: and heal and remove the pain and discomfort. Best thing in the world right now for her and it's immediate, within minutes relief.

I second that aloe vera recommendation, but if you have access to fresh aloe vera leaves for consumption, which can be purchased at most Mexican markets in the US, or can be ordered shipped from Aloe Labs in Harlingen Texas, you will get a lot more for your buck, and it will be more effective than the bottled stuff.
I don't know about getting it in Manchester, but if fresh aloe isn't available there, the bottled stuff may help.
Bottled aloe varies a lot in quality, and the labeling is very iffy, even if it says 100%.
And some products have the skin ground up with the gel, which makes it a very strong, bitter laxative that can be difficult, even dangerous, for someone with your friend's condition to use.
Aloe for consumption is different than the small aloe plants used for burns--the aloe leaves for consumption get very big, 1-5 lbs. each.
You cut off enough skin so you can scoop the gel into a blender and blend with fresh fruit juice.
It's very soothing, healing and refreshing, and the taste goes well with fruit juice.
I use about a pound a day. Unused pieces should be wrapped in plastic and refrigerated, used within a day or two.
The leaves will keep without refrigeration for a month or more if kept cool and well ventilated.
If you buy from Aloe Labs, you will get organic. You have to buy a minimum of 25 lbs.
At Mexican markets, you can generally buy them by the leaf, but they probably won't be organic.
I have also heard of a new product, powdered Aloe which I think is freeze dried. I saw it advertised on Mike Adams' Natural News site, and he reviewed it very positively. He knows a lot about natural foods for healing, so I think it's probably a better alternative to bottled.
Good luck to your friend!

Hey guys,

Thank you all so much for your kind words, love and support. I cant tell you how much it means to me go know that people all around the world are sending all this love and positivity to my friend.

I have just been in contact with Vicky, and her colon is showing some signs of improvement. Her doctor is going to reassess her tomorrow, so she's not out of harms way just yet, but this is such good news...Im so relieved.

The hospital have been useless with her though...they didnt even keep her hydrated with a drip for 2 days when she couldnt keep down any food or water! I believe this is what caused her situation to be so bad...anyway shes now on a drip and shes improving.

The specialists at the hospital have also offered zero support to her with regards to changing her diet...they see to just want to pump her body full of chemicals as a means of treating her! Thank goodness she took the initiative to find out about the diet though! She is determined to go back on it as soon as she is out of hospital and without the colostomy bags.

I will tell her about the aloe vera...thank you so much guys!

Love and light to you all

Namaste
