Attack On Grid Raises Alarms - LA Times 2-6-14 (http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-grid-terror-20140207,0,5892405.story#axzz2shlQE3B3)

The fact is that our electrical infrastructure in this country is based in the 19th century. Poles and wires are a primitive way to transmit power. If if was terrorism, it would have been easy to take down the grid west of the Rockies. If it was vandalism, it was a step above the usual tagging or slashed tires. The attack happened last spring, and no suspects have been identified.

This essay by Ted Twietmeyer (http://rense.com/general96/stagedp.html) suggests that it could have been a false flag, created to induce anxiety and fear. I think that's slightly alarmist, but isn't it a shame when we have to honestly ask ourselves whether our own government is responsible for such an act?

What could possibly be the reason for these "terrorists" to not stay and finish the job? Did they look at their watches and notice it was time punch out on their time cards? We are not talking about one transformer, but 17 transformers. Yes, it was just as they stated: "This [shooting] event shows there are people out there capable of such an attack." Just as this staged event was intended to show - i.e., a drill. Authorities call it a [sic] "event."

EDIT/UPDATE: This article claims the "event" was almost certainly a false flag. (http://21stcenturywire.com/2014/02/08/latest-domestic-terror-sniper-attack-in-california-is-likely-a-government-false-flag/) Very little is being said about this online, and nothing in the MSM.

Well, whoever did it was trained for that sort of thing...so whether direct or direct, intentional of inadvertant state-sponsored, it was a result of state-backed assets and training. Which state is also a matter of debate...and who was responsible may very well be known but remains classified.

I believe the grid should be protected, yes, as it is out there in a very unprotected way. This is all true.

But to not make such an effort into some sort of Orwellian vehicle for population control and subjugation.

After all, in the hands of a skilled person, the average supermarket in most western cities provides just about anything one would require, in order to pursue a very nasty craft. Gelled and powdered caustics and acids abound, all along the aisles. The means are everywhere, and always have been.... it is just an issue of the native being's sanity/norm within the given society and culture.

Anybody remember the movie "Erin Brokovich?" starring Julia Roberts? one of my all time favorite movies. Well, if not its about a towns water supply that was poisoned by PG&E and they were sued and had to shell out a 333 MILLION dollar settlement to all those towns people of Hinkley, California.(True story) Well, guess what, the waters there are still to contaminated for anyone to live and prosper there according to this 2013 article. Maybe those people are retaliating????? Just a theory. the motive certainly exists.

The fact that the Govt would keep this under wraps so we won't "panic", yet tells us now (so we can not panic in hindsight, I guess...LMAO) is ridiculous. And no one in the area (witnesses, workers, police or even police scanner-watchers) reported hearing gunfire or seeing authorities converge on the area or noticed the lights going out? In Silicon Valley, no less.

This looks like a false flag of a false flag.

They're only just now reporting this here in the UK msm...
http://http://news.sky.com/story/1212287/us-power-grid-attack-sparks-fears-of-blackout

"America's energy grid is on alert over fears that terrorists could plunge the country into darkness.

One of the country's top energy officials has told Sky News that an incident last year, which went almost unnoticed, was an alarming demonstration of what terrorists could be planning.

Snipers fired dozens of rounds into an electricity substation in San Jose in California in April, knocking out a number of giant transformers that supply Silicon Valley.

Experts say what was initially recorded by police as vandalism was in fact a meticulously planned and highly professional operation. The attackers even cut underground communication lines before they opened fire.

The fear is that a larger, co-ordinated attack could knock out the grid for weeks or months. Some believe the April attack might have been a dress rehearsal."
