I took minor interest in this story when it first aired, but there's been an update and an arrest, so I wanted to post the picture of my original first RV impression and compare it with the suspect in custody, and let you guys vote on which face is a better match: lol.

The name I came up with and used for Google image search was John Culver.
I found a registered sex offender by that name who had fled the state where he was on probation.

The suspect arrested in connection with the shootings is named Charles Severance.

They look remarkably alike, heh.

The story:

‘Person of interest’ arrives at Loudoun jail

By Rachel Weiner, Published: May 5 E-mail the writer

A person of interest in three Alexandria homicides has arrived at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center in Leesburg, spokeswoman Liz Mills of the Loudoun sheriff’s office said Monday evening.

Earlier Monday, Charles Severence left the West Virginia jail where he has been housed for the past two months and was transported into Virginia.

Police in Alexandria want to question Severance, 53, about the February slaying of music teacher Ruthanne Lodato, the 2003 killing of real estate agent Nancy Dunning and the November slaying of regional transportation planner Ronald Kirby. He was arrested in Wheeling, W.Va., on March 13 on a fugitive-from-justice charge stemming from a gun posession charge out of Loudoun County.

A similarity between the two men is that both have apparently gone between states a lot. So either one could be it. :( or neither one lol. These things are shaky.

Serial killer? Alexandria cops link killing of Virginia music teacher to two other murders

The mystery gunman who fatally shot a music teacher and wounded her caretaker at a northern Virginia home last month may be the same killer wanted for two other high-profile murders, police said.

Ballistics tests show that the bullet that killed Ruthanne Lodato, 59 — who was shot when she opened the door of her Alexandria home Feb. 6 — was likely fired by the same gun that killed a local transportation officer last year and the wife of a sheriff ten years ago, police said Thursday.

“The similarities and unusual nature of all three shootings occurring in Alexandria required the police department to consider the possibility that all the cases are linked together,” Police Chief Earl Cook told reporters, according to ABC News.
