Immortal technique had the lyrics of "and Jesus is the most quoted prophet in the quran" in this song:

Does anyone actually know this? If this is a fact? If it was true it would certainly be interesting... I actually own a Quran. Haven't read it much yet but it's something I'd like to research some. If anyone has any good quotes from the Quran I wouldn't mind hearing them. Really don't know how many Muslims we have on Avalon(probably very few).. But one can hope. I might go to a Muslim forum and ask for good quotes about Jinn and angels/demons etc to research...

According to this list in wiki, Moses (Musa) is the most quoted with 136.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Quranic_people_mentioned_by_name

Jesus is mentioned 59 times. 25 as Isa (Jesus), 11 as "Al Masih" (Messiah) and 23 times as "Ibn Maryam" (Mary's son).

Thanks.

Mohammed isn't the most quoted? O.o Or are you leaving that one out.

Loved the song.

I would say that Jesus is the most quoted prophet second to Mohammad. (Peace be with him:-)

Muslims have great respect for the (prophet Jesus) as the do with Mary the Mother of a prophet.

Muslims say that western Christianity twisted the Jesus story and made him into a God.

I also find it interesting that it is written that the Angel Gabriel who announced to Mary that she would bring the Christ into this world is also the same Angel Gabriel who gave Mohammad the Quran. Hmmm.

http://quran.com/search?q=jesus (69)
http://quran.com/search?q=messiah (9)
http://quran.com/search?q=son+of+mary (34)

Makes 112 for Jesus;

I think the reason why Muhammed is mentioned far less is because the scripture often addresses him directly. It is after all a revelation to him

Recite in the name of your Lord who created -
Created man from a clinging substance.
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -
(Chapter 96, first verses)

Are the same quotes of Jesus in the Quran, in the bible too? Or were they edited out? Would be interesting for me to see. Interesting subject IMO. Thanks so much for the replies.

Violet is right about why he is mentioned by name far less. He was mentioned 5 times by the name (4 times as Mohammad and 1 time as Ahmad which is his another name)

I've read the Sura's of the K'Oran, and yes they mention Jesus more than the Bible does. They see him as the ultimate prophet, like John the Baptist, that paid the cost and moved to the side of Allah. It's their Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth. How to conduct oneself, while in the vehicle experiencing the emotional roller coaster called life. Choices, and all that stuff. All the texts are guides to get your heart and mind in order. If you're not reading about killing others in the text, like yourself, then why do you speak it? Not once does the texts tell you, who are worthy and who are not, so why do some people judge. I ask the Creator to give me a correct understanding whenever reading any one of the texts, and "IT" does. The guides assigned to your throughout your life experience, are waiting for those to wake up and acknowledge them, through Yeshua. Who else knows of the lies til the end of his life here, destined to sit at the Heavenly Father's side, w/fresh memories of those barbaric evil murderous people who tortured him publicly and hung him in the Roman hot sun to die a slow agonizing death of a thousand pains from the cuts of the thorns dug in his head. Imagine trying to meditate through that.
I'm reading: "Hercolubus or the Red Planet" by V.M. Rabolu.
Introduction:
I wrote this book with much sacrifice, lying in bed, ill, unable to stand up or sit down. But, seeing the necessity of alerting Humanity about the forthcoming cataclysm, I made a great effor.
I dedicate this message to Humanity, as the last resort, because there is nothing else to do.
(V.M.Rabolu)
It's a small book(52 pages), so I guess it's pretty short and sweet. You can go to: www.hercolubus.ca It's very direct, and to the point and I went through half of it on the toilet bowl run. LOL.

On the back cover page he writes: "What I affirm in this book is a very short-term prophecy, because i have evidence about the ened of the planet. I know it. I am not attempting to frighten, but to forewarn, because I feel sorrow for this poor Humanity. Since these events are coming soon, there is not time to waste in illusory things.

It was what made me begin the book, because of the desperation in trying to warn us.

They spoke of the virgin birth, and since it's Arab history, most about their reasoning, daily life expected, in how they treat others, and to not walk w/a false heart.
PS, they also spoke about the jinn and or demons that were cast out.

I have a different view on it , Gabriel was a plejaren man , Immanuel ( jesus) and Muhammad are the same spirit forms in different bodies in different time epochs with the same plejaren message of creation , love , peace , truth ... the plejaren follow the spirit of Henoch (enoch) no matter which body it is in , Enoch -Isaiah-Jeremiah-Ezekiel-Immanuel-Muhammad-Beam ... the plejaren have given the teaching of the spirit for over 12 billion years throughout the universe ... earth mankind corrupts the teaching every time ... The name Jesus was invented to deceive earth humans ...King James did a number on the world ...not trying to ruffle feathers , just putting it out there , everyone is a free person , free to choose their own path ...
