While I think there are definitely some lies and deception going on with the Obamas, I have to say this. It is extremely disrespectful to call her Michael whether she was born male or not (and I've noticed this has been going on in multiple threads). The fact is she is living the life as a woman NOW, and she identifies herself as Michelle, so calling her "Michael" is rather crass and unfair to her. Even if she was transgendered, her identity is her identity and who are you to take it from her?

On another note, we have about 4 threads about this already. Why can we not just continue the discussion on one of them? It is confusing to have it constantly spread out.

On to the video: I'm not sure how this implicates her and that first video was ridiculously "fear-porn-y" and overhyped with music. However, she does refer to herself as a single mother (which btw does not at all support the argument for her being a transgendered woman). It seems to me like more of just a slip of the tongue from going on autopilot at an interview.

Either way, referring to the first lady as Michael is disrespectful and slanderous, and I don't think that's the kind of message we should be putting out at Avalon. This is a place of love and curiosity and science and spirituality. Nowhere in there is hate and slander.

Barry Soetoro called her that on one of his press conferences. No disrepect on my part. Just repeating what her husband called her accidentally in front of Americans. You could see the "Oh sh!t" look on his face.

Secondly, Zaya, the lies are unraveling for them. The LIES are what concern me more than her being a he-she (as they call them in Hawaii). Deceit might not bother you, but it does many others. I don't take kindly to being deceived whoever they are. Both of them misrepresented themselves to the American people.

What Avalon is about is sharing all kinds of ideas and opinions; which people won't always be in agreement with. But it's okay to speak our minds. You think it's disrespectful, I don't agree. And that's okay, too. Don't presume that it's only going to be one way here. You said that Avalon is only a "place of love and curiosity and science and spirituality". True, but that's not all. And that "you didn't think this is the "kind of message we should be putting out at Avalon". As long as it's not up to you to decide what's right or wrong for us on this forum, then the flow of information will continue. We have moderators and Administrators who judge what's appropriate or not.

Avalon is about everything that goes on in our world that concerns us . We're all adults here. You've spoken your mind. And now I have, too. That's what it's all about.

There is always a good reason for a freudian-slip which is what that was. Not because she is single but taken in context with a 'busy mom's life'. Taken out of the uncoscious the slip is representative description of true feeling, when what is actually being said is not in congruence with what is.

Though I have to say that person doesn't look like Michelle, so maybe there are a few doubles and trebles standing in for her on occasion, one of which could be a single mom.

if Michelle Obama were to EVER go to a grocery store alone she would be surrounded by BODY GUARDS- like right next to her- no important politician/wife-of wouldn't be without them- so where are the body guards in this photo?-

I am indeed bothered by the deceit and have made many comments on this subject in other threads. That's neither here nor there. I agree about your points about being able to express an opinion and I am certainly no mod. Definitely true. Not my place to moderate.

The implications of all of these topics about Michelle being a transgendered female (btw that is the only term that the population itself has expressed wanting to be referred as...) are huge. I am merely throwing it out there that calling someone by a name they clearly do not identify with is disrespectful. It doesn't matter who it is whether they are deceivers or not. I suppose it is my fault for holding a large pool of people to my own standards. I see that. But, this topic is already so so delicate, and it pains me to see it being discussed with the use of slander and hyperbolized videos that do nothing to help the argument yet sensationalize it. I guess I just lashed out because it reminded me so much of how the MSM does basically the same thing to us all the time.
