I had to refresh my memory on DefCon.

Started in 1992 by the Dark Tangent, DEF CON is the world's longest running and largest underground hacking conference. That description, plus the sampling of interesting characters in the video brought to mind the phrase intelligent, self organizing chaos!

But that is what my mind threw out two or three days after listening to the most excellent interview with Sally Goerner, posted here:
