The above photo is is the building i was going back home to the latter is only 2 floors above my apartment, my son was in the apartment at the time and was able to get out in time and help other out of the building, it started about 7:30 pm last night NY time. I didn't get the call till 8:30 pm.

My apartment is half damaged my living room and things were destroyed either by smoke or fire same goes for my ex husband's bedroom and stuff my sons things are most likely water and smoke damaged. We are not happy pandas.

Right now my son and ex are staying with my folks in the apartment down the hall from them, and it will take weeks before damage is clear and fixed.

Mean while we are suing the pans of the guy who decide not to do his job properly, the electrician did not cap old wiring when they revamped the restaurant below my apartment and that was the cause of it all..

We are suing for mental and emotion damages and property damage..

Fire went through the walls (https://www.facebook.com/adrian.hunter.108/media_set?set=a.926681307347398.1073741825.1000001 66115464&type=1)

My dad took the photos, they broke into the walls of my apartment to try to catch the fire, I may have those later today.

I'm sorry your family had to go through something like this Jana. Hopefully no one was hurt. Stuff can be replaced...people can't. Many Blessings to you and yours.

Your insurance company should go after him for the property damage aspect in subrogation. His insurance company is liable to pay if he was at fault with faulty wiring, etc. That jerry-rigged exhaust system doesn't look up to code, either.

Sorry for your troubles, but like others said, fortunately none of your people were hurt.

My Apartment (https://www.facebook.com/adrian.hunter.108/media_set?set=a.927388307276698.1073741826.1000001 66115464&type=1)

I am heart broke, for all the damage, and set back.

BUT I am also proud of my son.
The kid in one of the pix is my son, he is my hero, he told everyone what was going on and helped ppl get out of the building.
