Great animation of UK airspace

Taken from radar data from over 6000 flights. Is it any wonder why we see so many aircraft exhaust trails?

The airports labelled are only the five in SE England. Those of Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Norwich, Edinburgh, Glasgow, etc. etc. are not indicated, but their traffic is clearly visible.

Some of the peculiar movements are military training, particularly over Wales.
