Water is essential for life and citizens should have free access to it as a basic right like oxygen. In BC, Nestle takes 265 million litres of water for its bottling companyper year out of one of the worlds most pristine aquifers in Hope BC-our government sells it to them for free, yes free and pays in BC, Canada amoung the lowest corporate tax rates in the world. This is changing because the people found out and now regulations for ground water use are slowly being put in place-but we as tax payers will likely end up paying for it.
